Boxing versus Wrestling - some thoughts.
« on: June 18, 2010, 07:48:26 PM »
I always loved to watch both sports, whether it was a match between two men or two women.  I do have different thoughts on them as someone who did both as well.  Boxing I always saw as the sweet science, and true real competition.  The excitement of picking an opponent apart, mixing up the attack to the body then the head.  Learning footwork, angles, being able to get in and get out, making sure to stay off the ropes and trying to move more foward and away from the opponents power.  Wrestling is a true test of power, and you must have knowledge of holds and how to break them.  I had a problem and found myself sometimes uncomfortable with the body on body contact, and some of the positions. I am not a homophobe, but it felt a little sexual to me.  When two bodies are manipulating each other, feeling each other, pressing each other, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to make a correlation with a sexual activity.  If I wrestled a girl for fun or so called competition, it was totally sexual for me!  Feeling her body, her breasts, everything, it was all about sex for me!  The girl, maybe didn't see it the same way, or feel that feeling as intensely as I did.  I also sometimes found watching men wrestle, sometimes uncomfortable, as crazy as that may sound, even great matches featuring the great University of Iowa - a wrestling powerhouse, made me cringe, when I watch one man mount another, or certain positions that happen.  If I watch boxing, I don't think of anything sexual at all!  Even if two gorgeous girls are boxing, I like to look at them, but I see that as competition and not sexual at all!  The last point is when I watch two women wrestling, it is always sexual for me!  They may say it is just competition, but their bodies touching each other is all about sex for me!  My long winded point is, I SEE WRESTLING AS SEXUAL, whether it is college, pro, or a match, that idea is in the back of my head, even with the WWF, and I see BOXING as the real raw competition, and not sexual at all!  WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Rawr.

I personally think boxing and wrestling are as sexual as you want them to be.  Me personally, I find neither to be sexual by default.  I can watch women boxing, MMA, and wrestling (both pro and other) and not immediately jump to feeling its sexual.  Actually, I have quite a few times.  I wouldn't say I've never jumped to thinking of either of these things sexually.  Though, I would say that thinking of wrestling as competition, and not as sexual, has happened about as much, if not more, as thinking of wrestling as sexual.  I used to do MMA (was never any good, but I used to practice) and grappling was a big aspect.  Never thought of it as sexual when grappling, not even when grappling with the one female student that was in it (very cute bartender actually).  When I was grappling with her, my mind was more on getting the technique down and the competition, not "oh wow, this girl is really cute, such a sexual thrill" or anything like that.  This is definitely one of those things that varies from person to person.  As for me, I stand by what I started out saying:  act is only as sexual as you want to make it.

Hi,

Well for me its clear cut. Personally, although I have never tried it, wrestling with a male is highly sexual based on my imagination, and would like to try it in real life one day, should, in the highly unlikely event, of the opportunity arising. For now will have to just settle for cyber :D.

Boxing on the other hand ........ to me............ is a sport between two people and nothing sexual at all.

As far as cyber is concerned, having a cat fight which then turns into wrestling on the floor is  fun and presses some buttons........... provided there is a man to pick up the pieces :D as I am sure many of you know I am not bi and am truly into men as opposed to women.  I recognise though that men find it stimulating and am happy to role play wrestling half naked on the floor with a female......... provided I can have some fun with the man after the event :D

Royals, my position is close to yours.  I've been a boxing fan since I can remember, and it's not a sexual sport to me.  When Mia St. John came along, I found her sexy, and watching her fight, I could be turned on by her, but the fighting itself was just competition to me.  Same thing with Laila Ali, and I really love looking at her, what a knockout!  Pardon the pun.  I love Laila Ali because she's the best female boxer I've ever seen, and also the most beautiful.

I don't watch men's wrestling at all, except for the wrestling aspects of MMA.  Women's MMA is sexier to me than boxing because it has body contact, but it's at best moderately sexy.  It's because the competitive aspect is so intense and technical that it overshadows the sexiness, even when Gina Carrano is one of the fighters.

What I love the best is two completely unskilled girls wrestling in as little clothing as possible, with a lot of body contact.  The classic T2TC2C as Sketch would put it, legs locked, belly to belly, face to beautiful face, etc.  That way it's all woman to woman with no knowledge of holds to give one an unfair advantage over the other.  Next best is submission wrestling and rules catfighting.

Brit brought up something important, which is that women are sometimes willing to wrestle other women because it turns us guys on.  Turning us on seems to turn them on.  Am I right, Brit?  I might also ask you if women, in general, don't mind body contact with other women.  Me, I don't want to wrestle guys at all, but i love wrestling against a woman.

Ok Second attempt .......... wrote a well thought out reply then lost the lot!!!

First of all CrashCorrigan I had a shock! I have always assumed you were female. Owing to your comments I ventured off to your profile and found the most gorgeous hunky looking man ever....... teach me to assume!

In part your right about willing to wrestle another woman because it turns a guy on, but not totally. Knowing me and knowing that I am in no way altruistic when it comes to what I do both irl and in cyber I thought about it and realised there was an element of excitement with two female bodies together partly dressed with men looking on. Now I would have to stress that I would need to be 100% certain that the other female had no lesbian tendencies whatsoever and the fight would have started off with two women fully clothed. The clothes being lost through the fight........ guess its the humility of it all in front of the men though that causes the excitement. I would need to add that in no way would I participate in face sitting neither in cyber or irl.  For me that is a complete turn off

Brit, thank you so much!  :)  I'll have to frame that one and put it on my wall.  Ah, too bad I can't see you.  ;)

I'm not sure why you thought I was female, unless you were misled by my avatar.  I originally used a picture of myself that was big, and after awhile, on those rare occasions when my comments are brief, I noticed that it left a lot of grey area that people had to scroll through.  So rather than shrink my pic, I decided to use an image of one of my favorite women, Samantha Sprackling, better known as Saffron, lead singer of the UK band Republica, who were so brilliant in the late '90s.  People may remember them for their hits Ready To Go, Drop Dead Gorgeous, From Rush Hour With Love and Try Everything.  Saffron is Eurasian, British and Portuguese on her father's side and Chinese on her mother's side.  Quite a spectacular mix, I'd say.  I like to remember her as she was in her glorious prime.  Alas, the years and drugs were not so kind to her beautiful face.

Back on topic, thanks for your insights.  I'm going to guess this will be subtly different for every woman who is open to such possibilities.  Like you, I'm not into the face sit.  Just a good old wrestling match is all I need.

For me female boxing is a real turn on for me, whether pro or amateur or for fun. It's the competition, the whole hit or be hit scenario that these girls are put in and then you get into the sweat and tears they put into it as the fight drags into each round. Not to mention when they clinch, how their bodies just mesh together struggling for dominance, breasts rubbing together as if having their own bout. It's really a test of endurance as they punch away at one another, trying knock the other girl out and when that does happen it's like magic.

Wrestling is also sexual to me, but not in the same way.

Hi Stephanie, I obviously agree with you!  Did you ever wrestle for real?  If you did, do you find that to be sexual as I do?  So many women say it is just competition, but, when you are pressing your body against another woman's body, there has to be something going on, more than just plain competition, no?

Boxing is just as sexy. two women trading punches to belly and breasts with a smile of satisfaction what is hotter?
