One of ishmael's first stops in Zeldos (once known as Antarctica) is in Harbor City, at a little hole in the wall fighting venue called simply The Basement. Here he encounters, for the first time, two girls he will end up seeing a lot of in the next several years, Audrey and Monique. 

Editor's note:   If you are one of the three or four people who have been actually trying to piece together my overall storyline, some of the original text in this drawing set no longer really fits the big picture. And the image of the male protagonist in the last coulpe panels can be dismissed as nowadays I never picture the male character, with the intention being the reader can picture Ishmael to look however they want.
