Catfight category removed?
« on: December 16, 2020, 02:00:11 AM »
So apparently Clips4sale has removed it's catfighting  category from its site. With all the drama going on with Pornhub is this somehow related? Is the catfight industry suddenly under attack by the mainstream?... Any info?  ???

UPDATE:
Also add the bare-fist fighting category

Doubtful. As of this post, FEMALE FIGHTING is still a category on C4S, as is CXNTBUSTING.

My guess is that C4S wants to avoid category descriptions that could be possibly misinterpreted as or confused with something illegal. In the past, C4S always described it as CAT FIGHTING (two words), as opposed to the more accurate spelling CATFIGHTING. My guess is they're worried some social crusader who sees that from the drop-down menu (and is not familiar with the fetish) might think it has something has to do with animal abuse.

As to the BARE-FISTED FIGHTING category, the name easily conjures up images of secret underground fight clubs, which are illegal in many places. So, it's gotta go.

Of course, this is all just speculation on my part. Your guess is as good as mine, as they didn't give us producers any warning or detailed explanation as to the changes.

Would not surprise me if the industry is under attack. Since the start of the "Me Too" movement a few years ago the whole adult entertainment industry is under scrutiny.

Just bizarre.  The power of morality police and political correctness seems to growing exponentially.

Just seeing this.......Pornhub? C4S changes? That's SMALL compared to what happens if this passes. Porn as know it will completely die if it does. https://twitter.com/MelodyKush/status/1340106469547585537
I don't think it would kill it. Larger companies should be able to handle all the new pain in the ass hurdles you have to jump over just to post a video. Pirate sites like pornhub, xhamster etc. though?... would be dead in the water RIP. Also small production  companies  are really going to get squeezed. I don't think it will kill it (the porn industry)but it will DEFINITELY limit it. At least that's what I gathered from reading it. I may  have misinterpreted some of it. I know people in the thread were saying you wouldn't be able to download porn anymore? I didn't see anything about that in the bill, am I missing something? Either way I don't agree with a lot of that bill and feel it's a knee jerk reaction and those NEVER work out well.

EDIT: I see where it says you'll no longer be able to download. THAT'S BULLSHIT! So they're trying to force the adult industry to go straight streaming? Oh well there goes my catfight collection hobby. >:(
If someone in the adult industry blew the whistle on Pornhub they may have just talked themselves outta business as well.

No you didn't, one of the conditions was porn cannot be downloadable. So C4S the traditional model? That'd be dead under this.
That's what I was saying in my post edit. I asked is porn going to have to be streaming only.  That's government REALLY overstepping their boundaries. They can't single out a specific entertainment film genre and say you guys don't have the right to choose how people purchase your work. All they need to do is hold producers and websites responsible for the content they put out and if a producer or website is caught breaking the rules THAT producer/website needs to pay!

So this might be an unpopular opinion, but I think in the long run this is good for the cat fighting industry and here is why.

First, never underestimate the creativity of the pornography industry to adapt. It will survive. Always has. Always will.

Before all of this, the biggest problems in porn was people sharing content for free and accidentally filming someone 18 or under. Sites like Pornhub was killing people like Steve at SF. Killing him. Now, I don't think he will be able to sell downloads, for now, but he will be able to sell subscriptions. This is a much better option than what we had.

If you have Netflix or Disney+ or Hulu or HBO, you stream. We all stream, and no one cries that they cannot own a series.

If SF charges $15 a month to be a member of his streaming service and gets 100 people to join, that's $1500 a month after the cut from the streaming provider or whomever he runs his service through.  You want to sponsor a fighter? Sure. You donate straight through his streaming site to that fighter. He just needs to have content ready monthly. Pictures... interviews... reissue certain fights...

A site like PH starts using his stuff, SF can sue them. He has a lot more power as a producer now.

He's no longer begging for sponsors and worried about one asshole getting a vid ahead of time and sharing it out to  PH.

Does this mean SF will go to OnlyFans? Dunno, but I do think what rises from these ashes will be much more producer-friendly than what we had.

Not only am I saying NO to streaming only, I'm saying  HELL NO! You use Netflix and Disney+ as examples but you still have the ability to have personal copies via download or Blu-ray/DVD of almost all the content on those sites. People (even in today's society) STILL like personal copies because you're guaranteed to be able to view your favorite movies, shows, what have you despite not having access to the Net or a reliable internet connection not to mention you'll always have a copy even if the company folds or the content is taken down. EXAMPLE: Mira v Jess is one of the most popular catfights ever and is no longer available, because it was distributed as a download even though it's no longer sold everyone who purchased it still can watch it.

As far as a SF streaming channel goes that's also a horrible idea (especially at $15 a mo  ???) You'd have to have an extensive back catalog not to mention CONSTANTLY putting out new content to justify having it. I'm not paying $15 (or any amount for that matter) and wind up sitting around for months waiting for new content while the producers get paid on a monthly basis regardless if they do any work or not.

I'm not against a streaming porn site (it's actually a good idea) BUT don't take away the option for me to OWN the content I really like.
