So apparently Clips4sale has removed it's catfighting category from its site. With all the drama going on with Pornhub is this somehow related?
Probably.
Is the catfight industry suddenly under attack by the mainstream?... Any info?
UPDATE:
Also add the bare-fist fighting category
Doubtful. As of this post, FEMALE FIGHTING is still a category on C4S, as is CXNTBUSTING.
My guess is that C4S wants to avoid category descriptions that could be possibly misinterpreted as or confused with something illegal. In the past, C4S always described it as CAT FIGHTING (two words), as opposed to the more accurate spelling CATFIGHTING. My guess is they're worried some social crusader who sees that from the drop-down menu (and is not familiar with the fetish) might think it has something has to do with animal abuse.
As to the BARE-FISTED FIGHTING category, the name easily conjures up images of secret underground fight clubs, which are illegal in many places. So, it's gotta go.
Of course, this is all just speculation on my part. Your guess is as good as mine, as they didn't give us producers any warning or detailed explanation as to the changes.
So this might be an unpopular opinion, but I think in the long run this is good for the cat fighting industry and here is why.
First, never underestimate the creativity of the pornography industry to adapt. It will survive. Always has. Always will.
Before all of this, the biggest problems in porn was people sharing content for free and accidentally filming someone 18 or under. Sites like Pornhub was killing people like Steve at SF. Killing him. Now, I don't think he will be able to sell downloads, for now, but he will be able to sell subscriptions. This is a much better option than what we had.
If you have Netflix or Disney+ or Hulu or HBO, you stream. We all stream, and no one cries that they cannot own a series.
If SF charges $15 a month to be a member of his streaming service and gets 100 people to join, that's $1500 a month after the cut from the streaming provider or whomever he runs his service through. You want to sponsor a fighter? Sure. You donate straight through his streaming site to that fighter. He just needs to have content ready monthly. Pictures... interviews... reissue certain fights...
A site like PH starts using his stuff, SF can sue them. He has a lot more power as a producer now.
He's no longer begging for sponsors and worried about one asshole getting a vid ahead of time and sharing it out to PH.
Does this mean SF will go to OnlyFans? Dunno, but I do think what rises from these ashes will be much more producer-friendly than what we had.
