Looking for very old story/article
« on: January 03, 2021, 01:53:26 AM »
I am looking for an article/story that was written about 50 years ago.  It was originally published in Evergreen magazine and described a man's journey to discover how excited and aroused he became when girls fought in battle.  It included a story about two young women who met  in a jungle clearing.  They fought and ended up in a very sensual and sexual embrace.  Does anyone have access to that story?  I have seen it in the intervening years a few times, but have lost track of it.

I'd love to read it again.

"Hello Out There" by E.F. Cherrytree. Never has an essay about women fighting and it's effect on men surpassed it.

Evergreen Review December 1967.  I still have my copy.

You can find it here, but it does not include the fabulous Frank Springer illustrations of the "Laura and Marie" catfight story.

I'm looking for an old story about 4 women who engaged in a mud wrestling catfight.  I can't recall what magazine it was.  All that I know is that I bought it from L. Scott Sales in the late '80s.  It was mostly photographs but had this great story about four girls who started catfighting but ended up falling into a mud pit and ended up nude at the end.  No luck finding that so far.

That is the one!!!!!!! Laura and Marie.  I bought that magazine off of a newsstand shelf when it was originally published.  Sure don't have the copy though.  Wish I did.  Thanks so much for pointing me  to it.  Much appreciated.

Thanks for that. I hadn't ever stumbled across that one, but it's a gem.

Wow!  Thanks for finding this and for posting the link.  I had heard about this article many times, but never could find it.  I first heard of "Mr. Cherrytree" on  Barb's site many years ago.  He would occasionally show up and offer his insights on various topics, and of course he was very much esteemed by the crowd who frequented that site.  This was, in fact the very first article dealing with this thing of ours and well ahead of its time.  I would definitely have loved reading it back then.  Again, thanks!

Barb actually asked Cherrytree his permission to reprint it on her Combative Woman Website and he graciously agreed.  And then some cool dude saved all the CW editorial  content after the site was closed down and stuck it back up on the web.  That's where I found it.

I guess my story is lost forever.
