From her years of watching Wednesday Early Dismissal chickfights out of her backyard window, and from observing the girls' actions and customs with each other, Kari knew that her daughter Sherry now faced 2 bad choices.
<> Sherry could stubbornly refuse to give to her enemy Brandi. But in return, Brandi would relentlessly rain down slaps and scratches on Sherry's prone body, for as long as Brandi wanted to.
<> Sherry could, on the other hand, give to Brandi. This would likely necessitate humiliatig pleading and begging. Sherry would need to admit to Brandi what Pam was now demanding of Kari--an admission that Brandi was the better woman than Sherry.
Brandi. Ewww. A filthy, forthright, gold-digging homewrecker. Admitting defeat to her was unthinkable.
Kari knew she needed to intervene.
> Brandi.
> [Brandi refuses to acknowledge Kari, and straddles Sherry even harder.]
> Brandi. Get off my daughter.
> Or what, skank?
> Or I'll hit your mom.
> You wouldn't dare. You know her shoulder is hurt.
> I sure do.
Kari squares up with Pam and unleashes a flurry of blows on her former friend. Pam can tell from the anger on Kari's face that the attack is genuine, and tries to swing back, then parry, then swing back with her one healthy arm.
Pam's defenses are surprisingly futile. Pam trips backwards onto the bedroom floor. Kari mounts her, and turns to Brandi.
> So, bitch. NOW what?
Brandi slaps Sherry in the face.
Kari slaps Pam in the face.
> We can do this all day, honey. If that's what you want.
