Well, I'm back at that very moment when I'm brought out of my thoughts by Bella's foot (I wonder what size shoe she wears?) flying into my face. I fall on my back, trying to avoid the blow, and I hear the stomping of feet and the giggling with which this crazy woman runs away from me.
I don't like running, I like to have a drink and lie on the sofa, and it's best if someone lies next to me... No, that has absolutely nothing to do with our story. I get up and head deeper into Kate's apartment, following Bella as she runs away.
The pursuit led me to Kate's office. I didn't waste time looking around, I simply grabbed Bella by the hair and threw her onto the table, dragging her across it (you know, like in old Westerns), and when she fell to the floor along with everything on the table, I picked her up by the hair and threw her back against the bookcase. Books fell from the shelves (yes, there were books) and then... No, I don't know how to describe it. Then some kind of extravaganza began. A passage opened in the closet (no, not to Narnia, to my great chagrin) but to some kind of BDSM fetish den.
I gazed in amazement at Kate's home shrine, where she worshiped her goddess, Erin. I'd suspected genuine passion between Kate and Erin, of course, but I hadn't imagined Kate to be so obsessed. Judging by Bella's reaction, she was just as surprised as I was.
I won't describe everything I saw, all these dolls, photographs, personal belongings, underwear...
Bella closes the closet and looks at me with madness in her eyes... After which she starts smiling again (at this point she looks like the Joker) and says:
"Sorry about that.....where were we?"
I look at her, still reeling from what I saw in the closet, and then smile sweetly back. I don't say anything to her. I walk up to Bella, hug her, gently stroke her back, feel her confusion, and gently whisper in her ear, "Gotcha, bitch," before my fingers curl into her hair.
