Look similar to J.M. Rolen's work.  Especially the hair.  Remember them well.  The stories were great too.  And the occasional nude match.  Loved those mags.

JM Rolen, that's a name I'd not heard before.

I love the Lady Hawke material!  I have more Lady Hawke stuff than any other, but I never knew that they actually made promo pics.  And you even have an autographed one from Brandi herself.  How cool is that?  So very sorry that she has passed on.  BTW, did anyone believe that she was only 165 pounds?  I mean, really?

Hi Bear,

I also enjoyed Lady Hawke matches.  I have a few VHS tapes at home.  I believe that Brandy weighed around 165 lb in the early days (just look at the pic with her autograph).  She did gain quite a few pounds over the years and I'm pretty sure that she weighed over 200 lb in her later matches.  Most of Brandy's matches on the Net show her when she was heavier.  I recall a match in which she fought another BBW who looked older than her. I really liked the ending; it was like a crucifix, but not a cross body pin.  Her opponent had short blond hair and wore a black one-piece.  When I find a pic, I'll post it here...

I had that match on VHS, but it got erased by mistake.  Brandy's opponent was named Mary.  The actual match can be found on Youtube.  Mary filmed at least one other match, I believe that it was a topless match against a younger Dakota.

Speaking of Jo Bray, this is a copy of an article published in a newspaper in December 1976.  If you can read it, please do.  It's worth it.

Can you take two pictures of the article? One from each half so it shows up larger...

I would love to read this.

Stephen at Grassland Productions, you requested that I repost the article on Jo Bray.  I took three pictures and posted them below.

Speaking of Jo Bray, I have also attached this letter where she explains how they started NEWAWA and how it operated.  I split it in 4 parts.  So, it's in 2 post to keep it under the max attachment size

I have more stuff on NEWAWA later, including a pic of Joan Wise in her early days, likely before she started fighting Femmes.  In addition to Judell Dulong sending actual photos of matches, here are a couple of examples of unknowns that I received in the 70s.  I just placed the photo that they provided on top of the documents that they sent.

I have several catalogs.  Here are two L.Scott Sales catalogs from the early 90s.  In addition to videos, they sold all kind of magazines.  The samples are self-explanatory.  I'll even include a table of contents so you can see what they were selling from other companies. I am attaching two examples per post.

Some of you may know a company called Creative Films from the 70s.  I just copied the top part of the cover of a flyer so you can see Elena deMarco.  She fights in a mixed wrestling bout only. Sexy with an attitude.  Love it...

I'll just throw in a couple of teasers from Triumph Studios for now.  Although their matches were fake, they sure knew how to promote the ladies in their flyers.  Here are two examples from the mid to late 80s I believe.  I have dozens of similar flyers.  I'll post more later.
