Haven't had a chance to see the fight yet but it sounds amazing. Charlie looks so hot. My two cents on the ending of the fight. It sounds like one of the fighters started strong, and wanted to win. When things started going badly for her she gave up. That sounds totally real to me.
The fact that she seemed disinterested in the final round was just her way of saving a little face. Better to seem disinterested then try her best and lose. But its all part of the psychology of the fight. For a woman to be so submissive to a woman, who she's been trying so hard to beat and has hurt her breasts etc.., is pretty telling.
Also the fact that the dominant girl in final round played along and didn't hurt the submissive girl was cool, she new her opponent had lost the will to fight no reason to hurt her more and totally humiliate her.
There is an ecc fight between Lexie and Johanna where one of the girls loses the will to fight do to some very hard slaps to the face. There is less mercy in that fight though and the loser gets punished pretty badly after its clear she'd had enough.
Lexie vs Johanna is the same fight I thought about when I read what the Suitefights producer wrote about the way Brooke/Charlie ended.
You are wrong in saying that the loser of Lexie/Johanna gets punished badly after she's had enough though.
If you look at what happened in that fight, the producer interrupted the action several times by calling submissions himself, obviously because he was worried they were hurting each other too much with hard face slaps and neck cranks, and one or other of them could have been injured. These are not trained fighters, remember.
Then one girl goes down after taking two more very hard slaps to the face, and, at that point, there is a break in the film.
When the action resumes, they are both on their knees facing each other again, and what happens next is two very "soft" submissions which end the fight. The loser cries at the end, but that was clearly caused by a release of emotional tension, rather than her being badly hurt.
The fight was effectively ended by the two hard face slaps which sent her down to the mat ealier, and she wasn't hurt again after that.
