I am certainly never going to be accused of being the smartest guy in the room......but I have followed Suitefights from the very beginning when Stephen introduced us to his idea of good catfighting with his Lexi-Victoria production. Even though it was not the best catfight I have ever witnessed, it was certainly something brand new, and exciting, and real at a level that was uncommon for the time. And as a lifelong fan of catfighting, I recognized this idea could literally redefine the industry were it to succeed. Then about 15 months ago, he introduced this idea of sponsorship. Not a new idea at all, but new in the approach, and the focus. Keep in mind that at the time, Suitefights was a virtual unknown in the catfight industry, and the big hitters producing catfighting product were not at all interested in pursuing sponsorships in a way that allowed for fans to pay a little extra but get a whole lot more in return......it was Stephen, all alone, with an idea, a vision, and the courage to put his money where his mouth was. That says a lot to me about this man. Talk is real cheap these days, but if you can find someone willing to risk his own money on an idea that most likely sounded crazy to the "conventional wisdom" at time.......is a guy I am going to support. Those of us who signed up for this new sponsorship idea saw a pretty rocky start. If memory serves, we had 2 or maybe 3 false starts right in the beginning that resulted in returned sponsorship money and no catfight to watch. Girls flaked out, schedules changed, shit happened, and the end result for a couple of months or a bit longer was Stephen spending his own money on up front costs like non refundable air fare and the likes.....and nothing to show for it but a significant outflow of cash.......pretty painful. I believe in my soul that most would have folded up shop and moved on, but Stephen was undeterred, and he kept after it until finally, Jesse and Jemma met in a non descript location, and proceeded to give us perhaps the best catfight I have ever watched......and it was all worth it.....in a matter of weeks following that release, other producers were trying to jump on the sponsorship band wagon, now that someone else had taken a big risk and made it work. Today, one need look no further than the C4S site to see that 3 or 4 of the top 10 best selling catfights on record come from this producer. Hell, can anyone remember the last time a rock band or whatnot had 4 songs in the top 10 on the Hit Parade? So what is my point? It bothers me that some have chosen to take the view that Stephen somehow "owes us" as his fan base, to once again, foot the bill of providing sponsorship up front, at no cost......with the hope of somehow recouping those costs later. The old adage, "what have you done for me lately" comes to mind......To that I can only say......Stephen owes us "Nothing", rather, we "OWE HIM", for everything he has done thus far by bringing us the best content in catfighting ever produced, and a business model that has ushered in a new direction in the catfight industry. This issue with PayPal is simply another hurdle to be overcome, and it will be. The timing is certainly not the best with the Mila/Sarah fight a week away, but c'mon.....the safety of the free world does not depend on getting a sponsor package up front for this coming fight. The fight is going to happen, and it is going to be recorded, and it is going to be EPIC, and we are all going to get to buy it. So be happy. OK, I'm done with my rant.....hope I did not step on too many toes.....just wanted to point out that the guy out front on all this is Stephen, with the most to lose....so lets cut him some slack, let him make his own decisions, trust in his judgement as he has never given us a reason to do anything other....and I'm positive we will have an acceptable outcome just as we always have in the past.
