Pop princess Charlie XCX (22) received an angry reaction from Katy Perry (30) after claiming that she sang better than the Candyfornia Gurl during her time as support act on Perry's most recent world tour.

Katy, visibly infuriated, told one of our sources, 'How dare that upstart even compare herself to me! She should be grateful I had her on my tour. I challenge her to a battle of voices: I want that conceited little princess to show me how the fuck she sings better than me!'

Charlie, not impressed with Katy's threats while, however, sure of her singing skills and more, accepted her rival's challenge and added she will make Katy fight her in a ring to '...make it clear who of us will be a queen of pop while the other will remain a humble princess for the rest of her life...'
