In the middle of the  VIP room of the most exclusive, upscale bar in town,  is a 10' X 10' ring. Patrons offer up $1000 plus tips to the winner. Sign up is by invitation only, but purely voluntary for participants. Match ups are drawn at random and rules are discussed after.

I heard about this place from a friend. I am ashamed to admit it,  but I am really short to cover my rent this month. I have been in more than my fair share of scraps over the years and think of myself as a damn good fighter. So,  I rub the right elbows and get myself invited into the room.

I draw Julia as my opponent. The dislike of one another is instant. When asked,  I quickly, almost subconsciously, blurt out, "Who needs rules? It's a fight." The smirk on Julia's face is confirmation that she agrees...
