As more females have begun to compete in amateur free-style wrestling, so has the application of a very controversial hold becoming more frequent - the "oil-check" or "butt-drag". While the effectiveness of this hold applied by male wrestlers may be more painful due to the sensitivity of their anatomy, still it is an effective tactic for females to control their opponent by causing physical discomfort and humiliation in the public arena.
