Does anyone know what ever happened to the guy known as J.J.? He ran Ladies, lets wrestle and catfight.

I know this is a very old question. But the topic is of some signifacance to folks who were active way back then. I never met the man, and only occasionally spoke to a few people who knew him.

First of all, he is dead.  This happened a number of years ago, somewhere in the 2010 to 2020 decade.

I did not know that he was behind the 5 yahoo groups "Ladies Let's Wrestle and Catfight".  The groups appeared to be run by Fighting Nurse Mary as she was the subject of most of the photos in all of those groups.  There were several gatherings in hotel/motel rooms and a number of people traveled to then to compete.

I have been told that JJ and Nurse Mary were a "couple" but I never heard that definitely. At some point the relation ship with Mary ended, and JJ became involved Kelli. It is probably safe to say that JJ introduced Kelli to private women's wrestling. Since she was a tall lady with a good amount of weight, she was extremely dominant in matches. (Kelli also went on to fight for several other companies (fighting sirens was one).  Insofar as I know (or watching those videos) Kelli always won (There is a good possibility that Lady Ellen (sadly no longer with us) did defeat her.  If anyone knows more I would appreciate you messaging me about it.

After JJ and Kelli linked up Kelli did a number of videos. There was at least one for ECNWC against Sarah, and some for Fighting Wildcats.  That is were she and Lady Ellen
first fought.  She also fought a few of the other ladies in that company ladies.

This is where things get confused. Kelli and JJ had parted company.  One of the other Fighting Siren's fighters had taken up with JJ. Kelli announced she was forming a company to either produce fight videos, or a web channel focusing on lady's wrestling. This is where JJ's true colors were shown.

Evidently Kelli and JJ had some sort of legally binding arrangement that bound her exclusively to JJ with respect to any form of lady's catfighting/wrestling. I think it would up in a law suit and evidently what ever arrangement JJ had was legally binding.  Kelli could not go forward on her plans and left the scene entirely.

I have heard that JJ was involved in bringing women into the fighting world even before Mary. one of the women fought Mary in a match which was posted in one of those Ladies Yahoo groups.  Then he connected with Mary, then to Kelli, and then with one of the ladies who fought in Fighting Sirens.  I can't recall her name, but she was involved in theatre/dance in NYC.

JJ died from a heart attack.  Honestly I cannot think of anyone who had a nice way. I think he was at least mentally and abusing some of these ladies. Who knows what else.  I think he is a dark stain on our community and the world is well rid of him.

I didn't know all the details you provided, but I remember that asshole and Kelli and those Yahoo sites. He was a miserable fuck , even when just posting on the message boards ... very condescending to anyone asking a question, etc.

I remember he put on a female wrestling event and was selling tickets to attend. I remember it was close enough to drive to so I asked the price of attending. LOL, it was astronomical .... just an insane amount  :o !

When I asked if this was a misprint and what the real price was he went through the roof cursing , insults, threats, etc etc.  Others chimed in on what a jerk he was and he went ballistic ; saying he had everyones IP addresses and continued with threats, blah , blah, blah.  ::)

I do remember that the even did happen and he posted pics on one of the Yahoo groups. All I can remember about it was one of the matches Kelli had was with Hurricane Havanna ... anyone remember her from 'back in the day' ?

The Kelli / Havana match was a classic (at least for me). It was more grappling / wrestling than catfighting and Havana won.

I've heard Kelli and Ellen had at least two other matches, both private and no vids are available.  Yes, it sounds like internet lore :)

You are correct: it is internet lore.  They matched up once and Kelli decisively defeated Lady Ellen, HOWEVER it was widely acknowledged that Ellen was quite ill that day, but gamely decided to go forward with the match.  There were promises of a rematch, but it never happened.  Their one match can be found on the Internet -- somewhere.

Their match is fairly easy to find. Lady Ellen put up a great fight.

Too bad the rematch with a healthier Ellen never happened.
