Profiles in the Ignore list

So, I went back to the very first topic posted here in the help section and found no answer to this.
What happens when you add a profile to your Ignore list (or you get added to someone else's Ignore list)?
I presume of course, that they can't message you naturally, but what else does it mean? TIA!

It also means it hides any posts they make on the forum

So this is what it looks like. You have the option to view the post.

It does not affect the ability to comment on their profile. If someone is harassing you that way do not delete said comment, notify the mods and when we see it we will delete the comment and message the person doing it.

Thanks Meg! I'm not being harassed, I was just curious about how the Ignore list worked. So, if I'm added to theirs, they simply can't see my posts, but can still see my profile. But would I then not be able to see theirs as well. Not on anyone's Ignore that I know of, and not intending to put myself in that situation, but am curious about how it works.

And they can't message you via forum messages. It does not work for chat you have to ignore them separately in the chat room. And I think that covers all the questions we usually get about the function. Maybe someone will actually try finding the thread now
