Anyone do a time-travel story where a forty-something woman goes back in time to fight her 20-something self?

Interesting idea, if you saw the film "timecop" your idea is hard for solve without too much "paradox rule blending".

Maybe an idea of two rivals in their 40s that want see if their younger opponent was better their actual rival.

The forty year-old has an unhappy life which she blames on her childhood/her parents/where she grew up.

The older woman travels back in time  ito warn her younger self.

The two meet but they don't get on. The twenty year old is sick of getting advice/lectures off older people. The forty year old is frustrated by the twenty year old's inability the listen to good advice.

They fight.

At the end of the fight the forty year old returns to her own time. When she gets there she starts to remember the fight and realises that it was the event that turned her into the person she is today.

It was not the place that made her the person she is today, it was herself!

A plot borrowed from 'One life furnished in early Poverty' by Harlan Ellison.
