An afternoon between friends
By the Masked Writer

The house belonged to Evelyn Hart, a spacious modern place overlooking a quiet stretch of coastline. Its backyard pool was surrounded by pale stone, teak loungers, and flowering shrubs that had spent the entire afternoon humming with bees.
Evelyn was sixty-eight, though she carried herself with an ease that made her seem younger. She was about five-foot-five, slender but not fragile, with narrow shoulders, long legs, and the soft definition that came from staying active without ever having been particularly athletic. Her short silver-blond hair was neatly styled, and she had spent most of the afternoon in a turquoise two-piece swimsuit, a broad-brimmed hat resting beside her whenever she wasn't wearing it.
Her friend Marianne Cole was considerably taller--around five-foot-seven--and visibly leaner. Marianne was in her late fifties, with long legs, a narrow waist, and an elegant, almost dancer-like bearing. She wore a vivid red one-piece swimsuit with decorative cutouts along the sides. Her long light-brown hair had been pulled into a loose ponytail, and she had spent much of the afternoon moving between the pool and the shade with a glass of iced tea.

They had known each other for years.

Or, at least, Evelyn had thought they had.

For hours, there had been nothing remotely unusual about the afternoon. They had floated in the pool. They had talked about neighbors, vacations, old friends and the ridiculous price of renovations. They had laughed. They had eaten fruit and sandwiches at the patio table. Had a few drinks.
The sun slowly descended toward the horizon, turning the water orange. By early evening, the warmth had begun to disappear. Water dripping on her soft, pale body,  and wrapped herself in a white towel.
"That's it," she said, shivering slightly. "I'm officially done." Marianne laughed from the other side of the pool. "You're the one who insisted on staying until sunset."
"I've changed my mind."
"Clearly." Marianne also extracted herself from the pool. Her body, firmer and leaner, glistening as the sunset's light hit the water drops rolling on her skin.

They gathered their things and went inside.

A few minutes later, Evelyn emerged from the bedroom still wearing her turquoise two-piece swimsuit, a white towel draped loosely around her shoulders. Marianne had likewise kept on her vivid red one-piece swimsuit, her long hair still slightly damp from the pool. Both women were barefoot as they stepped into the kitchen, where Evelyn opened a bottle of wine while Marianne settled against the counter. The atmosphere was comfortable. Familiar.

Until Evelyn noticed the photograph.

It was sitting half-hidden beneath a stack of mail on the kitchen counter. She picked it up absentmindedly.
Then stopped.
Her expression changed.
Marianne noticed.
"What?"
Evelyn didn't answer.
She looked at the photograph again.
It was an ordinary photograph, taken several months earlier. Evelyn's husband, Daniel, was standing beside Marianne.
Too close. Much too close.
There was writing on the back.
A date.
A hotel name.
Evelyn's fingers tightened around the photograph.
"Marianne."
The other woman immediately sensed the change in her voice.
"What is it?"
"How long?"
Marianne went pale.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Don't."
Evelyn placed the photograph on the counter.
"Don't lie to me."
Silence.
Marianne looked at the photograph.
Then at Evelyn.
"Where did you get that?"
The question made Evelyn laugh once--shortly, bitterly.
"That's your response?"
"I can explain."
"Explain what?"
Marianne swallowed.
"Evelyn--"
"How long?"
The question came again, louder.
Marianne's shoulders stiffened.
"It wasn't supposed to happen."
"That doesn't answer me."
"It was a mistake."
"A mistake?"
Evelyn's voice rose.
"You slept with my husband and you're calling it a mistake?"
Marianne looked toward the windows, almost instinctively, as if hoping the confrontation might somehow disappear.
"It wasn't like that."
"Then what was it like?"
"I cared about him."
The words landed heavily.
Evelyn stared at her.
For several seconds, neither woman moved.
Then Evelyn insisted :
"How long?"
Marianne finally answered.
"Not even a year."
Evelyn's face went completely still.
"Not even a year." She repeated, her voice filled with contempt.
"I was going to tell you."
"No. You weren't."
"I swear--"
"You sat beside me this afternoon." Evelyn' face was contorted by rage and disdain.
"Evelyn--"
"You sat beside me by my pool."
"I didn't know how to tell you." Marianne protested, weakly.
"You looked me in the eyes."
Marianne looked away.
"I was afraid."
"You should have been."
Marianne's expression hardened.
"I'm not the only one responsible."
Evelyn stared at her.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Daniel was a grown man. He made his own choices." Was the answer. Now contempt also appeared on Marianne's face.
"And you made yours."
"I know."
"No, you don't."
The argument became louder, faster. Words began overlapping. Old resentments surfaced--small disagreements neither woman had ever addressed, comments that suddenly acquired new meanings.
Marianne tried to defend herself.
Evelyn refused to listen.
Finally Marianne snapped:
"Maybe if you had paid more attention to him--" She did not finish the sentence.
The room went silent.
Evelyn looked at her as though she had just been struck.
Then her hand moved, as if of its own free will.
Smack.
The slap echoed through the kitchen as Marianne's head turned sharply with the impact.
For a moment she simply stood there, stunned.
Evelyn's ample breast rose and fell rapidly.
Neither woman spoke.
Marianne slowly turned her face back toward Evelyn.
Her expression had changed.
The hurt was still there.
But now so was anger.

A very different kind of silence settled over the room. And neither of them was thinking about the pleasant afternoon anymore.

The slap had barely landed before Marianne's hand came back across Evelyn's face. The sound cracked through the kitchen. Evelyn recoiled, one hand rising instinctively to her cheek. Her eyes widened--not with fear yet, but disbelief.
"You--"
She lunged.
Marianne barely had time to brace before Evelyn seized her around the shoulders, nails biting into flesh. Their bare arms collided, damp skin slipping against skin as they struggled for position. Evelyn drove forward with surprising force, pushing Marianne backward into the kitchen counter.
"Get off me!"
"You hit me!"
"You hit me first!"
Marianne shoved at Evelyn's shoulders. Evelyn held on, trying to drag her down. Neither had any idea how to fight properly. They never had to. There was no technique behind the movements, only anger and instinct.
Marianne tried to knee Evelyn in the thigh. It landed awkwardly and accomplished almost nothing.
Evelyn responded by driving her shoulder into Marianne's chest.
"Ugh!" Marianne's breath escaped in a sharp grunt.
Evelyn wrapped both arms around her waist. For several seconds they strained against each other, feet sliding on the floor. Evelyn's muscles trembled visibly with the effort, particularly through her shoulders and upper arms. Marianne pushed against her, teeth clenched, trying to create enough space to escape.
Then Evelyn managed to lift. Not completely, but enough to disrupt Marianne's balance.
"Got you!"
Marianne stumbled. Evelyn shoved her sideways.
They crashed onto the carpet together, making a heavy "Thud!" with a flabby note in it ; the sound of flesh hitting wood. Both women groaned on impact.
Marianne landed underneath, Evelyn partly across her. The older woman immediately put her hands around her throat, trying to choke her, while pressing her weight into Marianne's torso.
"Stay there!"
Marianne bucked hard.
Evelyn slipped. Her hands released their grip around her neck.
Marianne twisted onto her side and shoved Evelyn away with both hands.
Evelyn rolled several feet across the carpet and, finally, came up on one knee, breathing heavily.
"You're going to pay for this," she gasped.
Marianne scrambled upright. She moved faster than Evelyn.
Neither waited.
They charged again.
This time Marianne swung first. Her right hand caught Evelyn on the upper arm rather than the face. The blow made a sharp smack but produced little effect. Evelyn answered with a wild left hook. Too slow : Marianne ducked. The punch sailed past her and Evelyn nearly lost her balance.
Marianne seized the opportunity, wrapping both arms around Evelyn's waist, with a soft sound of flesh on flesh. Evelyn grunted and grabbed Marianne's shoulders. They staggered sideways together.
"Let go!"
"No!"
Marianne tried to pull Evelyn backward.
Evelyn planted her feet.
The two women became locked in an awkward clinch, each pushing and pulling, their breathing growing louder. By now, their bodies were gleaming, not with water but with sweat.
"Hnnngh!"
"Get--off!"
Their muscles shook under the sustained effort. Evelyn eventually managed to wrench herself free and shoved Marianne backward. Marianne stumbled into the sofa. She sighed as air came out of her lung.
Evelyn followed with another clumsy punch. It struck Marianne's shoulder. Marianne winced.
"Ow!"
She retaliated with a short punch to Evelyn's ribs.
Evelyn folded slightly.
"Ah!"
That hurt.
Not devastatingly, but enough to make her angry.
She grabbed Marianne by the waist and drove her down onto the sofa. The cushions absorbed some of the impact. Marianne tried to sit up. Evelyn pushed her back. Both were moaning, their breath increasingly hort.
For a few seconds Evelyn had complete control. She was heavier, and that difference mattered. Her weight pressed Marianne into the cushions while Marianne struggled to find leverage.
"Stay down!" But it was hardly speech. More like a semi-articulate sigh.
Marianne shoved at Evelyn's hips. Evelyn's arms began trembling. The effort was already becoming exhausting.
Marianne noticed.
She suddenly twisted her hips and threw her legs upward, catching Evelyn awkwardly around the shoulders. Evelyn's balance vanished.
"What--?" Another sigh, barely.
Marianne kicked free. Evelyn toppled sideways. Marianne rolled off the sofa and landed on the carpet.
Both women remained there for a moment, breathing hard.
Their skin glistened with sweat. Their hair was disordered, and their swimsuits had become rumpled from the struggle, clinging to their skin, their nipples piercing through.
Evelyn pushed herself up first. Her breathing was noticeably heavier than before. Marianne rose more slowly but seemed to recover faster.
Evelyn noticed that.
And it frightened her.
She charged again anyway.
Marianne sidestepped.
Evelyn missed completely and slammed shoulder-first into the wall.
"Ah!"
She turned around, grimacing but Marianne was already behind her. She wrapped an arm around Evelyn's upper body and tried to pull her backward. Evelyn grabbed Marianne's forearm. She pulled downward with both hands. Marianne's grip loosened.
Evelyn turned and shoved her hard.
Marianne stumbled backward.
Evelyn swung.
This time the punch connected with Marianne's shoulder again, but it lacked force. Marianne answered immediately, striking Evelyn in the side. Evelyn gasped.
They both froze for half a second.
Then Evelyn rushed forward and tackled Marianne around the waist.
They crashed down again.
Evelyn landed on top.
She was breathing almost raggedly now.
"Hah... hah... stay down..." she tried to command but her voice was barely audible.
She tried to hold Marianne's wrists against the carpet but her arms were shaking. Marianne could feel it. She twisted one wrist free. Then the other. She bridged her hips and rolled.
Suddenly Evelyn was underneath. She fought desperately to turn over. Marianne climbed over her and pressed her back down. Evelyn bucked. Nothing. Again. Still nothing. Her strength was waning. Quickly.
Her legs kicked against the carpet while her arms pushed against Marianne's sides. Marianne grunted with the effort of maintaining the position, but she wasn't tiring nearly as quickly.
"Get off!" Evelyn had hardly any breath left.
Marianne shook her head. "You need to stop."
"Never." Evelyn shoved again. Marianne absorbed the movement and stayed on top. Evelyn tried twisting sideways. Marianne followed. Evelyn tried bridging. Marianne dropped her weight.
The older woman's muscles trembled violently with the effort. She could feel it now. The difference.
At the beginning she had been able to overpower Marianne. She had been the heavier woman, and anger had given her an initial surge of strength. But that strength was disappearing. Her breathing had become loud and uneven. Her arms felt heavy. Her legs were beginning to shake. Marianne noticed iteven  before Evelyn did.
The older woman's movements were slowing.
At the beginning, Evelyn had been frighteningly strong. Her extra weight had made every clinch difficult, and her first rushes had sent Marianne stumbling backward. But now Evelyn's breathing came in harsh, uneven bursts.
"Hah... hah..."
Her shoulders rose and fell. Her arms trembled whenever she tried to push Marianne away. Marianne realized she could feel Evelyn's strength fading beneath her. A smile briefly crossed her face.
"What's wrong, Evelyn?" Her voice was shaky, but still there.
Evelyn glared at her.
"Get off me." A whisper.
"That's all you've got?"
Evelyn shoved at her again. Marianne barely moved.
"Come on," she said mockingly. "You were doing so well five minutes ago."
"Shut...  up!"
Marianne laughed breathlessly.
"You're exhausted."
"I'm not."
"You are."
Evelyn tried to buck her off. Marianne absorbed the movement and settled her weight back down. Evelyn groaned with frustration.
Marianne shook her head.
"All that confidence, and already you're running out of gas."
Evelyn twisted violently. Marianne followed her movement.
"Maybe this is what happens when you spend more time relaxing by the pool than staying in shape."
Evelyn's face reddened.
I can continue the scene with Marianne becoming harsher and more dominant, but I can't write a prolonged depiction of choking someone unconscious or a detailed beating of a helpless person.
I can instead make the climax brutal without that element:
"Don't talk about my body."
"Why not? You certainly noticed mine when you decided to attack me."
Something in Marianne's expression hardened.
She seized both of Evelyn's wrists and forced them against the carpet, holding them together with one hand. Evelyn immediately struggled, but her strength was fading and Marianne could hold her without much effort.
"Let me go!"
"No."
Marianne struck her several times with her fist, to the torso, on her protruding ribs and in her rather soft stomach. each one sharp enough to make Evelyn flinch and moan in pain. They weren't elegant punches; neither woman had learned how to fight properly. But Marianne no longer cared about technique. She was angry, exhausted and determined to prove that she had won.
Evelyn tried desperately to pull one hand free. In vain. She was spent.
"Stop!" she pleaded, meekly.
Marianne didn't.
She shifted her position and pinned Evelyn's shoulders beneath her knees, leaving the older woman sprawled helplessly beneath her. Evelyn tried to buck but her moves were sluggish and weak. Marianne didn't budge.
"Look at you," Marianne panted.
Evelyn glared up at her. Her eyes full of tears.
Marianne slapped her once across the cheek.
"Still angry?"
Another slap.
"Still think you're stronger?"
Evelyn's breathing had become ragged. She tried to twist away, but Marianne maintained the pin, easily.
"You had me at the beginning," Marianne said between breaths. "You really did."
Evelyn struggled again, writhing feebly.
Marianne shook her head.
"But you couldn't keep it up."
Evelyn's resistance was collapsing.
Marianne finally released her wrists and stood, stepping backward.
Evelyn remained on the carpet, exhausted, crying, staring upward as she tried to catch her breath.
Then Marianne grabbed the top of Evelyn's bikini and tore it off, upward, covering her face and exposing the older woman, ample but rather saggy breast, almost flat as she lied on her back. She grabbed the left one and twisted it. Evelyn cried out.
"Look at those empty bags !" she said, with a cruel smile on her face.
Then she grabbed some flesh on Evelyn's soft waist.
"And all that lose skin. All that flab !" If I had wanted your husband, I would have him without problem. Look at you ! There is no competition here."
Now Evelyn was sobbing, without even an attempt at resistance. She did not utter a word. The humiliation was complete.
Then Marianne rose on her feet and stood over her, equally disheveled and breathing hard, but unmistakably victorious.
For several seconds neither woman spoke
Marianne looked down at her former friend.
"It's over."
Evelyn knew she was right.
The end

Wonderful Story, thank you for sharing with us!
For decades I love catfights, the old fashioned Style, scratching, hair pulling, breast mauling and pussy clawing.

If I get into bed with you and start snuggling. All you gotta do is enjoy the attention. It helps me sleep. I really do not appreciate all the questions. Like.....who I am and how I got in your house. It ruins the moment.   ;)

Great story. This part got me aroused.
