When is the right time to stop a fight?

You see two women (whom you don't know) fighting. What criteria do you use to decide to intervene and stop the fight? I think there is a range. Maybe you don't like the disorder and want it to end as soon as it starts. On the other side of the spectrum, maybe it's their fight, and they should be allowed to go on until a decisive finish.

Has there been a fight that you regretted stopping too early or too late?

NEVER if you saw the fight start and it was a

"fair" start as in no-one got jumped

from, behind let them finish. Yes I have

seen my wife lose but it was a "fair"

start, both we facing each other and

each put their fists up the other female

was the better fighter on that occasion.
I have an interest in female
hooligans fights too as well as Russian girl gang fights!!
i also pay entertainers to fight 1 another and i get photos of them here in Las Vegas Nv Sabrina is now 6-1 Yes i pay strippers to fight each other for $$.

I don't totally disagree,  but I would say that it's obviously over, one is begging for it to stop, and the other just keeps going,  I'd say that it's time to step in.

I have seen my share of fights.  I presume that some of the comments are meant to be funny (I hope).

I have stopped two fights in my life, and the others have largely stopped themselves, it is usually obvious when a fight is over, to those watching and those involved.  In my experience this is not true when one of two (or both) things are involved:  extreme emotions or substances.

The two fights I stopped (with help mind you) involved both.  One was a fight between the two toughest, biggest, women I have ever seen fight, one of whom was a close friend.  We were in our late 20s, early 30s and she had found out that her girlfriend had been sleeping with another woman.  They had broken up and we had gone out to a local roadhouse to "drown her sorrows".  The bitch who had stolen the girlfriend shows up at the bar with friends.  There is a little bit of eye-fucking that occurs, as I called it back then but other than a stare down or two, nothing happens.  I try to leave with my friend, but she wants to stay to see if her ex-girlfriend shows up.  The gaggle of whores start getting rowdy and they start to laugh about my friend and theirs.  My girl starts getting feisty so I convince her to leave.

We walk out the back of the bar and have to walk a decent distance in the dirt parking lot to where we had parked her car, though I was driving.  When we get there, there is a piece of paper stuck in the doorhandle and she sees it before I do.  It is a photo of her ex-girlfriend fooling around with the cxnt-stealer.  She loses her shit--it was so unnecessary--and she decides to go back to the bar, she is too big for me to stop her as she is drunk and emotional.  Turns out, the other group had tried to follow behind us to see our reaction and so they are already in the parking lot.  While my friend is looking for the homewrecker to fight, the biggest girl in their group is playing body guard and steps up. My friend is about 5' 10 and 165 lbs, the other girl is maybe an inch or so taller and similar build.

They throw down.  There is no getting in the middle.  Bodyguard and Chelsea are kicking the living shit out of each other.  At one point, Chelsea's down on all fours getting kicked in the ribs, at another she's straddling bodyguard and pummeling her in the chest.  After a good 5 or 6 minutes (which in real fights is CRAZY LONG) they are both exhausted and a little bloody.  Bodyguard charges forward and tries to tackle Chelsea hip-tosses her and she slams into a car.  She stands straight, a little wobbly and Chelsea takes a solid swing and cracks her right in the jaw (Chelsea broke her hand with the punch).  She goes down like a sack of potatoes and Chelsea goes ballistic, stomping and kicking at her and she is just not reacting.  I had to jump in at the point, it took all of my effort to get her to stop.

Second fight was way different.  Two girls I didn't know in a huge club.  Too much coke and alcohol and the bathroom was too big and crowded.  I was about 28 and I'm there for a bachelorette party and I hate the type of place that it is.  These two girls start beefing (maybe they were beefing before) in the bathroom--they are both wearing skirts that are too short, heels that are too high, and waaay too much makeup in my opinion.  One is blonde and looks like a barbie doll, fake tits and all, the other is a sexy latina with great curves, heavily tatted.  They get in each other's face and I'm watching as their friends start talking trash around them too. I don't what triggers them, but suddenly they are are throwing down.  Not too surprising that the latina is yanking the blonde all over the place and punching her wildly.  The blonde takes it and somehow slips the hair pull, gets free, and hits the latina in the face, grabs her hair and slams her head into the counter.  It is clear the fight is over, but everyone is standing around videoing.  The blonde slams the latina to the ground and goes to straddle her and start slamming her head into the tile, but I jumped in.  The latina was completely out on the floor.

So those are my two.

Have a nice day.

In fantasy, in each of the two fights described, I wanted them to rip the other's dress/blouse off (no bra). And, of course my comment above was meant to be funny. In reality, in the first fight, was her jaw OK ? In the second fight, the latino girl could have been seriously hurt and that is very upsetting. Was she OK ? Did she need medical attention ? In both scenerios, what happens if the one the women (who lost) comes after her nemesis with some type of weapon, knife, or worse , a gun. That has happened, at least in the United States and didn't end well. :(

In an arranged match with agreed upon rules, the match should only end if one of the opponents submits the bout...the only exception might be if one of the participants breaks the rules so significantly as to gain a total and complete advantage and refuses to stop breaking the rules...example would be the rules prohibited punching above the neck and one opponent starts face punching and refuses to stop...

In an arranged catfight(Suitefights/Tillytown)a catfight should keep going until one of the women fails to retaliate or fight back.

TheRef

I have only ever stopped one catfight and that was because I knew them both pretty well. They were a lesbian couple who had gotten a bit drunk and over emotional. I knew they didn't really want to hurt each other so I stepped in and separated them until they cooled off.

I've seen more bar, club and "after hours" catfights scattered across Asia than I can possibly count but I never interfered because they were always between local girls and I was an outsider American. Cardinal rule #1 of being in a foreign country is never, ever get involved in a fight between locals. Even if you think you know what the fight is about you don't know the language, culture, customs, laws or past incidents between them and it will blow up in your face! Let other locals deal with it.

The closest I came was in Korea when my landlord downstairs was drunk and apparently beating his teenage daughter. She escaped out of the house compound and his wife got to the front gate ahead of him and tried to block him following her. He started hitting her just as I got downstairs so I bearhugged him from behind, put him on the ground and sat on him until he settled down. Then everyone went back to their homes and that was that. Next day was like nothing happened.

In my youth, way too early.  Now when it is over, if one is fighting and the other has stopped/100% defensive, or looks like one is going to the hospital and the other is going to jail it is time to step in.  Before that point I'd say chances are you only delay things and take the chance they are both going after you for stopping it.  Same probably true for two guys fighting, but them I only stop it if I know them and have a chance of talking them down afterward.
I love catfights and chatting.  Look me up on trillian at ljack66   (I think... just figuring Trillian out)   https://www.deviantart.com/ljack66

Completely agree. Better that than if one woman dies during the catfight.  :'(

There are a number of valid  reasons to intervene in my eyes. .

1. If one has zero desire to engage in the fight then it is pointless.

2. One breaks out a weapon of any kind.

3. 1 is clearly defenseless and is getting owned there is no need for serious injuries.

4. Other parties jump in making it unfair, I feel it should be stopped immediately.

Now that I am older, a little wiser I think a proper fight can still take place and sane rules be allowed. No kicks or knees to head or smashing a head on any object. No biting or gouging. No eye attacks.

2 women who really want to fight could easily settle it with those rules in place. No one needs to be headed to the ER, spend months in jail, or possibly years in prison from losing control. Just my humble opinion.
Enjoy each other.

preciosa.

In my opinion?

  • The fight ends the second they hit the dirt--assuming it's a straight-up fistfight, which is 99% of street trash going down.
  • Am I going to stomp their head into the curb once they're down? No. But mercy is a luxury, and I don't expect it in return. Anyone stupid enough to break basic combat etiquette will find out real fast how ruthless I can get.
