I would like to thank (in order of appearance) Vassago, Blogger348, djcrash, barbosa, byline, Mindcastle, and realisticman for their predictions and comments. They continual discussion by them and others (who I also thank) keep the fights alive and the voting lively. There were exceptional fights as befitting the last fight of the tournament. In a few fights even the exhausted winners had to be helped from the venue. There was no “loud scream” rule nor “ no loud ecstasy screams” rule applied and so some of the vanquished were either hauled off on a stretcher or hauled off by the victor for some after fight fun and games. At least fun for the victor and maybe fun for the vanquished. Don’t be surprised if I wasn’t completely accurate on who the pundits thought would win. There were some that may or may not have switched positions and one or two could have been reporting more on results near the end of the fight. In either case I tried to use what seemed like clear predictions when first made.
A large number of the fights were very close. Out of the 16 fights 11 of them were within 53.5% for the winner.
Luciana Paluzzi 73 vs Suzanne Somers 72 {Pundits 3-1}:
Arguably this was one of the best fights of the round. At least it was if you like an even fight between a redhead and a blonde, a back and forth fight, and a fight between two tougher women. The fight was one of the closest finishing by only a vote difference. Suzanne didn’t finish in the top half like Luciana did but she fought this fight as a top 10 fighter. Luciana certainly fought like a top 10 fighter and just missed that cut. The pundits were in favor of Luciana with only realisticman giving Suzanne a chance to win. The fight seemed to go back and forth between Luciana’s hot tempered hairpulling, clawing, slapping catfighting and Suzanne’s attempts to crush Luciana with her powerful thighs. Luciana’s nasty tactics would put Suzanne on the defensive. Then Suzanne would clasp Luciana’s head, neck, breast, or waist between her thighs and almost get a submission. Cheers went up as Suzanne started crushing Luciana’s thighs between her own at the end and had Luciana in tears. But Luciana ripped out even more hair, dug her nails into Suzanne’s thighs and escaped. Suzanne’s legs were too tired to inflict any more damage and the catfighter proved supreme. Still I would like to thank Suzanne for all the gorgeous red hair she pulled out of Luciana’s head in an attempt to catfight her. And certainly Luciana has my thanks for giving me even more blonde hair. It’s just that I consider the quality of Luciana’s hair to be higher than that of the oft-treated blonde hair of Suzanne. This fight tied with the Joey vs Loni fight for the closet fight of the round.
Britt Ekland 72 vs Adrienne Barbeau 74 {Pundits 1-4}:
The pundits favored Adrienne to win and she delivered but barely as the fight finished with only two votes difference. . Perhaps the closeness of the fight was suggested by byline who thought Britt would win. Blogger348 listed Britt as a candidate for losing the most hair this round. Britt did lose a lot of hair but Adrienne lost almost an equal amount. The result was not determined by who lost the most hair. Both Britt and Adrienne has opportunities to win but neither could until both fought to exhaustion. Britt almost pulled it out being more fit than Adrienne and having more exhaustion. But Adrienne’s greater strength and greater weight staved off victory by Britt until both were completely exhausted. That allowed Adrienne to use her weight to roll on top of Britt and smother her out with her huge breasts. Adrienne delivered on her promise. This fight was the 5th closest fight of the round even though the difference was only 2 votes.
Edy Williams 61 vs Dian Parkinson 82 {Pundits 0-4}:
The pundits were unanimous in picking Dian which suggested the one—sided beating that took place. Maybe the pundits knew something as the two women matched up well physically. Vassago used their relative performance against Martine Beswick as a clue to what would happen. That in the fact that Dian was motivated to prove she is still better than Martine. I would have gone with what barbosa said about it being a long and tough fairly even fight so that shows I know about as much as barbosa does. Realisticman suggested it would start out even but Dian would mop up in the end. The actual fight did not start out close. Dian grabbed Edy’s natural dark hair early and just started ripping. She so dominated Edy physically that Edy hardly touched Dian’s hair. Dian was right in that Edy’s hair is thicker but she was wrong in that it didn’t take her longer to rip it out. Edy has such gorgeous, thick, black hair that I was happy with a lot of it being left on the floor. Dian gave Edy the 5th worst beating of the round.
Jaclyn Smith vs 67 Lindsay Wagner 73 {Pundits 1-3}:
The pundits favored Lindsay with barbosa thinking that the “sexiest angle” in the opinion of some would restore some honor to Charlie’s Angels. Jaclyn did not live up to barbosa’s expectations that Jaclyn would prove stronger than Lindsay’s. If anything the opposite was true. Barbosa also believed that Jaclyn’s sexiness. Who ever is stronger byline got it right that Lindsay was faster. Vassago suggested Jaclyn’s strategy was to go with short hair. It didn’t work as Lindsay used to whip Jaclyn around by her hair and then drag her into the ocean to force Jaclyn to submit or get drowned. Lindsay gave Jaclyn the 10th worst beating or the 7th closest fight.
Victoria Principal vs 68 Annette Funicello 76 {Pundits 4-2}:
Their relative records implied that this should be an easy win for Victoria. The pundits favored Victoria by two to one, and Annette did it her way, not theirs. I must say that Blogger348 and byline showed some guts or great insight in picking Annette. Blogger even suggested that Victoria might be a candidate for losing the most hair this round whereas bylined gave the most accurate description of how the fight would unfold and why. Annette was simply more aggressive and went after Victoria’s hair harder than Victoria did hers. I asked Annette why she was so aggressive and a much nastier catfighter than we had seen before. She confirmed the insight that byline had. “I just wanted it more. I wanted to teach that teenager that there is a lot of fight in use older women. More importantly I was offended by Vassago and barbosa – ESPECIALLY BARBOSA – on saying how weak I was. I wanted to make them eat their words and I guess I did that. You are welcome for all the red hair I provided for you. You are a sweet guy and so that was extra motivation for me.” I also talked to Victoria. “I was mislead by all that writing about how weak Annette is. She is a lot stronger than she looks. And I might point out that she is heavier than me. I am still stronger and next time I won’t be so careful about hurting her and will rip her tits off.” Annette gave Victoria the 8th worst beating by only won by 52.8% in a close fight.
Tuesday Weld 93 vs Stefanie Powers 51 {Pundits 3-1}:
The pundits favored Tuesday but the fight turned out to be the second most one-sided fight of the round being only surpassed by Diana McBain’s thrashing of Goldie Hawn. Only barbosa thought Stefanie would defeat the tiny blonde. Vassago was right on the money on two accounts. First her motivation to move ahead of Sharon Tate. Tuesday is still wondering what happened to Martine Beswick who should have creamed Sharon. Secondly, Stefanie’s belly turned out to be softer and Tuesday a lot harder puncher. Had it been a wrestling match than barbosa might have been right. Once Tuesday had beaten Stefanie’s belly to mush she proceeded to rip out as much hair as she could even while Stefanie was pleading for her to stop. Realisticman is to be given credit for saying Tuesday might get the biggest beatdown. She came close but didn’t quite make it. Tuesday embarrassed Stefanie by giving her the 2nd worst beating of the round. Stefanie was happy the tournament had ended. She was only happy that she finished ahead of Jaclyn Smith, if only by vote difference.
Sybil Danning 75 vs Elke Sommer 73 {Pundits 5-2}:
This was one of the most talked about fights of the round along with the Raquel Welch vs Senta Berger fight and the Ann-Margret vs Farrah Fawcett fight (the latter being in third spot for the amount written.) And well it should have. It was a title fight, in fact THE TITLE FIGHT because if Elke won or tied (as realisticman pointed out) Elke was the outright winner in total points. The fight could also be called the best fight of the round, surpassing the other two fights that finished with a one vote difference. It was between the number one best fighter and the number three (but tied with Jill St. John in won/loss/tied record). And there are those that have argued Sybil was the best fighter and was the favorite to win the title. Certainly both fighters did not lack for motivation. Elke was fighting to win the title with no room for discussion. Sybil was fighting to prove she was better than Elke and, heaven forbid, better than Jill. (Interestingly Jill beat Sybil 42:39)
Sybil had her supporters, the strongest being Vassago who said he never went against her and thought she should win won the tournament. Barbosa thought the bookmakers should be investigated and that perhaps I somehow influence them against Sybil. Mindcastle was also a big fan of Sybil and although he claims to respect Elke’s fighting abilities his comments cast doubts. I put Blogger348 in Sybil’s corner because he said he voted for her to give Elke a decisive beatdown. Later on he seemed to switch who he was vocally rooting for, cheering Elke on when she got ahead of Sybil. Djcrash rounded out Sybil’s supporters. There were some negative comments about Sybil’s fighting ability. Naturally they were by Elke supports. Byline suggested Sybil would cheat and use dirty tricks. Blogger said Sybil was a cheap B-Movie actress with dyed hair who had no staying power.
Elke also had her supporters and detractors. Her detractors seemed to be more vocal and opinionated that were Sybil’s. Byline ,and realisticman supported Elke. Blogger’s support seemed to waver. At first he seemed happy Sybil was beating Elke badly. They he was solidly in Elke’s came. Maybe it was Blogger that Elke visited in her black leathers. Byline favored Elke and by his comments I think he closely observes these fights. Realisticman also didn’t chime in until the fight had evened up. But realisticman may be in love with Elke as he saying “Elke is prettier, sexier, tougher, stronger, and smarter than Sybil. She will walk away with the win with Sybil saying shoulda, coulda, wouda, but didn’t.” Naturally Mindcastle challenged every one of these comparisons. At least barbosa gives Elke some credit for being able to fight whereas Mindcastle wouldn’t give Elke credit no matter what she did. Says Mindcastle “Elke Sommer making a dramatic comeback and beating Sybil Danning down - NO WAY. Sybil is one of the toughest women around and she would never leave a flat-chested blonde get the best of her. There is something wrong here. Elke is just not that tough.” Vassago seemed to be more of a Sybil supporter than Elke detractor, commenting that she would just be much more aggressive than Elke. But he was overjoyed when Sybil was handing Elke her ass.
The fight lived up to or exceeded expectations as it went back and forth right down to the end of the fight. The two women were so exhausted afterward that both had to be helped back to their dressing rooms. Sybil got a huge jump on Elke and was beating her mercilessly. Whether it was because she was super aggressive as Vassago suggested or cheated and used dirty tries as byline said. But Elke did come back. I steal some words from byline who must have been writing notes during the fight: “Barbosa, djcrash and especially Vassago jumped for joy at seeing Sybil destroying Elke. Even Blogger348 doubted if Elke could recover from this beating. Oh ye of little faith. I knew Elke would comeback and she will dish out a beating to Sybil before the fight is done.” He was right that Elke did come back but she didn’t dish out a beating to Sybil. The fight became a back and forth struggle. In a way it proceeded similar to the Luciana Paluzzi and Suzanne Somers fight. Elke seemed a bit stronger than Sybil, particularly in the legs and perhaps a bit more athletic. Sybil proved to be more capable with catfighting techniques. The result ended up the same with the catfighter winning out as both women reached exhaustion. Elke lost strength in her legs as they tired and couldn’t squeeze Sybil into submission. Sybil may have broken a nail here and there but her remaining claws remained sharp. Sybil sunk them into Elke’s “little boy’s tits”, as Sybil described them, and nearly ripped them off. With one set of claws on Elke’s tit and one on her face Elke finally submitted. She had no energy to fight back. Sybil and Elke fought to the 4th closest fight with a vote difference of 2 votes.
Senta Berger 77 vs Raquel Welch 70 {Pundits 3-4}:
I didn’t count number of posts or total word count but I believe this was the most widely discussed fight of both sets. It wasn’t a title fight as neither had any chance of winning the championship. I attribute that to the popularity of Raquel Welch and to Senta Berger to a lesser degree. There are some very big fans of Raquel and very vocal supporters. Some like Mindcastle thank Raquel is the greatest fighter since sliced bread (for a mixed metaphor). Others like barbosa, and simon1 believe Raquel to be the sexiest and most beautiful woman who has ever existed Mindcastle may also believe this but has said so explicitly. A special thanks to barbosa for all the wonderful comparison pictures. He outdid himself this time. Barbosa is a bit of a dichotomy as he is in love with Raquel but loves to see her suffer at the hands of other women who are less sexy. (As are all women in his mind.) There are many who like to see their favorite lose and Raquel understands this. Thus although Raquel would prefer his vote he has a special place in her heart anyway. There are those on the other side who either don’t think as highly of Raquel, particularly her fighting ability but also her sexiness. Too skinny say some. Other women should be so skinny. There are also strong Senta supporters who contributed to the discussion. Vassago, Blogger348, and realisticman believe Senta is stronger. Or tougher It is not clear where byline stands on toughness. He seems to imply Senta is tougher but Raquel outsmarts her to win. Realisticman and Blogger clearly find Senta sexy in body and mind in the replies for set 2. Mindcastle did agree with realisticman that Senta would be better than Raquel in the sack. But then he said he was waiting for Senta to humiliate Raquel. I believe both are lies said by Mindcastle who later admitted he was using reverse physiology. Mindcastle’s strategies didn’t seem to work and often backfired. Raquel was beating the crap out of Senta and then Mindcastle first opened his mouth. Senta made big inroads on Raquel’s lead after than. Then Mindcastle pimped for votes for Raquel. Senta took the lead. Raquel fought back. Mindcastle used his reverse physiology. Senta increased her lead and took the fight over. I also think the cave girl scenario added to the excitement about the fight especially as it was as a blonde cave girl that Raquel thrust her presence as a top sex symbol and fighter.
The fight started out similar to the Eke vs Sybil fight with one woman dominating at the start. Sybil did it with her fists whilst Raquel did it with a rock. “Hey, it’s a cave girl fight and rocks were legitimate weapons.” Senta was dazed and Raquel built up a big lead. Senta began to fight back once her mind cleared. Barbosa showed us a picture of Elke and Senta talking together outside my office. Mindcastle concluded Senta was the alpha female. You can tell how little he thinks of Elke and how much he hates her. Turns out Elke was giving Senta advice on how to beat Raquel. As Senta started to recover she recalled that Elke said Raquel could be very aggressive but hasn’t the strength not talent to finish you off. “Just hang in there and she will sap her own strength. Then go after her. She can and will take a lot of punishment but you are big enough and strong enough to overwhelm her at the end.” Senta let Raquel wail away on hr and try to crush her with her sexy legs. Raquel squeezed until her legs start to quiver with exhaustion but she couldn’t quite get Senta to submit. Then Senta heard Blogger encouraging her to fight back and get Raquel. He wanted her to squash her and blacken Raquel’s eyes. Senta recalled Elke’s advice and began to counter attack. Then she went on the attack as her blows weakened Raquel. Finally Senta knocked Raquel off her feet and dragged her into the care. I’m not sure what happened after than other than the moans and groans from Raquel indicate Senta was most likely having her way with her sexually. Perhaps Vassago and barbosa knew what went on. I think Mindcastle was writing down detained notes and I saw him sneak into the cave. Let’s hope he can give a fair recant of what happened. This fight was close being the 8th closest but with only a 52.4% vote difference.
