The lack of selling the match especially on WWE or TNA.  It seems like 5 minutes and done.

Great thread. I agree with many of the postings - truth be told I've watched very little women's pro wrestling since the late 90s.

What I miss the most is the way they act in the ring - old school heels like Moolah, Judy Martin, Leilani Kei, Sherri Martel and my all-time favourite, Vivian Vachon, looked and acted like they were the baddest women on the planet.

I also much prefer the simple one-piece bathing suit, barefoot if possible, (ahh, Velvet Macintyre!)

I'm indifferent about blood, although the Japanese did it very well. To see Kei, one of the best all-time US wrestlers cut up and being totally dominated was shocking for a youngster like me

I never understood the barefoot thing, but do recall that Leilani began as a barefoot wrestler.  Judy Grable wrestled barefoot and from time to time so did Ann Casey.

Guess I can put this here , these do classify as peeves , but more women's wrestling jokes have abounded ( 1) Anyone really know what Jessicka Havok's role is in Impact Wrestling is ? all she did so far is defeat match after match , a one armed Gail Kim (2) ANYBODY know WTF is going on with Women of Wrestling ( WOWE )  ? are they coming back or not ? , it's been a while since they supposedly returned & they have held like 3 shows & unless you were there , the rest of us mainly have NO F'N CLUE what happened at those events , limited information on the 1st show & hardly none o the next two , pro wrestler , Barbie Hayden plays cowgirl Abeliene Maverick & I believe she wrestled in shows 2 & 3 & I have not the slightest clue if she won both matches, lost both matches , or split . Their facebook site was congratulating Lana Star on being the longest running WOWE champ , easy when they never have a show for her to defend it & they wished a ref a very happy birthday , making me think , " I wonder what will be next , a WOWE show or his birthday AGAIN " , guess which seems to be the winner here ( it involves candles & cake as a hint ) & lastly for now , despite them having no shows , YOU CAN'T FIND ANY NEW STUFF / VIDEOS ANYWHERE , few lame promo videos & 2 matches, taped by a cell phone in a half window from not exactly ringside

Just learned this now , Awesome Kong returns to Impact Wrestling . Happened last week , Awesome Kong feuding with Jessicka Havok - a heel vs heel , yup , it continues to get worse , wonder if Velvet decided to get anymore ugly tattoos during their holiday hiatus

You should see the stare down tho. I wasn't expecting Kong and when she showed up. Wow.
