For those of us who came in late, though, what's with the ages? Since they don't necessarily reflect the actresses ages at the time they were taken, is there another criteria at work?
All the fights take place in 1956 and the ages reflect that provided the birth dates listed are correct. My criteria and precedence for choosing pictures:
1. Similar poses to provide as good a comparison as possible.
2. Full body shots that show as much of the legs and bodies as possible.
3. Unique or interesting shots.
4. Shots that feature the two women together at the same time. If they are in combat so much the better.
5. Pictures that are close in age given. At least not ages vastly different.. For example there are pictures of Claudia Cardinale and Brigitte Bardot fighting but they are in their 50s or 60s so I probably won't use those.
These are guidelines for me and I use poetic license at times so the stated precedence is not cast in concrete. Probably the overall riding criterion is visually and esthetically pleasing.
P.S. I hope you don't mind a little education but your question should be "...other criteria at work?" or "another criterion at work?" a common mix up of the plural vs the singular.
