Maestro, it could well be an age thing and as I'm in the same bracket as you it has to be a similar view point. In the middle of the last century life was full of hope, hope that the serial western you were watching on a B & W small screen TV. Would see two saloon girls going at it. For the most part hope was unfounded, but the rarity made it even more prized went it happened. When I should have been studying a mention that two girls were going to fight caused an adrenaline rush and occupied my thoughts for days, and it was a lonely pursuit, no one to discuss it with. In those innocent days, a scratch or a bruise would be collateral damage, there was no ideous stomping oh heads or kicking in the face. In those days girls had to wear skirts, and a quick accidental flash was a thrill, surpassed on bey two girls showing their knickers simultaneously during a fight.
The catfight fans of today have coverage at there finger tips and I suspect that makes it less thrilling than it used to be.
