I was watching an old WCW segment on YouTube that featured Kimberly Page, and it got me thinking about the lost opportunities in the WWF/WCW merger. While many mainstream pro wrestling fans have complained that they never got to see Steve Austin vs. Goldberg or Sting, there were other non-matches that I wish I could have seen.
#1 Kimberly vs. Sable. In my humble opinion, these were the two hottest women ever to have entered a pro wrestling ring. While Torrie Wilson, Stacy Keibler, Sasha Banks, Carmella, etc., are incredibly beautiful, none can match Sable or Kimberly's combination of face, boobs, abs, ass, and legs. If the duo had dedicated themselves to the business, they could have had incredible matches. Even if they never mastered the art of wrestling, they could still have had an incredible evening gown/bra-and-panties/paddle-on-a-pole/(insert favorite gimmick match here) match.
#2 Chyna vs. WCW's Midnight. Multiple sources, including Jim Ross, have claimed that Chyna was constantly bellyaching about wanting to wrestle men because the other women could not believably provide her with the competition she deserved. Her Wrestlemania match with Trish Stratus was supposed to be a competitive affair, but Chyna famously refused to sell to Trish and instead bullied the cute blonde around the ring for a couple of minutes before pinning her. I would have loved to see WWF bring Midnight in for Chyna's opponent. Midnight was bigger, 5'11 and 206 lbs. to Chyna's 5'10 and 181 lbs., and more athletic. With Chyna's arrogant disdain for wrestling women, Midnight might have been the bully and legitimately roughed up the "ninth wonder of the world" to teach her a lesson.
Does anybody else have matches that never happened but could and should have?
