License to Kink / Unexpected Awakenings
« on: February 20, 2023, 06:34:42 AM »
HBO is currently streaming a slew of Connery James Bond movies, many of which I hadn't seen in years, and I was reminded that the sexy combat aspect of that series wasn't limited to just the iconic Gypsy Camp fight.  I have to wonder how many adolescents discover a lifelong turn-on after tuning into these "family friendly" and PG rated Bond movies.  God bless those pervy Brits and their enthusiasm for sexy combat. (Bond director Terence Young, responsible not only for the gypsy camp fight in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE but the even more arousing scenarios in AMAZONS/WAR GODDESS released several years later, was clearly "one of us.")

I also find it kind of delightful and fiendish that so many of the scenes that most excited me as an adolescent were so completely unexpected, and featured in films that one would not expect to contain any kind of significantly erotic content.  I think a lot of people my age encountered their sexual awakenings by watching late night erotic thrillers or sex comedies, but I wonder how many of us share my experience of being activated by movies featuring James Bond, cave girls, or amazons?

I mean, my first memory of being physically aroused by something I saw on tv was in a stop-motion dinosaur movie.  That's kind of weird and wonderful, right? (Also RIP Raquel Welch)

My GF says that when she was a teenager she would regularly and breathlessly watch episodes of Red Shoe DIaries over and over ... and I'm over here like "So there's this Italian gladiator movie with the guy who played the Incredible Hulk and...."

So just curious, does anyone else remember early and surprise exposure to female fights and the excitement it generated?

I remember going to see "Diamonds Are Forever" back in the 70s. I was in the military and at the time I had some free time, so I went to see a James Bond movie. Loved seeing Jill St Johns in some of her outfits. Well, when the scene with Bambi and Thumper came on, my heart rate went through the roof. I had a raging hardon. Then I realized, HOW THE HELL WAS I GOING TO WAlK OUT OF THAT THEATER! Needless to say, I calmly blended with the crowd and MADE IT OUTSIDE!

I forgo It was just met to mention taking my wife to see "All the Marbles".It was just me, her, and one other guy. Nobody else!  For my wife, it was the kind of movie that could make her throw up. Me, I was calm and cool. As for that other guy several rows down, I can only guess what he was doing! :-\

Other than hoping Stephanie Kramer would catfight someone on 'Hunter', or the Jenna Wade and Pam Ewing would escalate beyond verbal bickering on 'Dallas', or that Christie Brinkley's Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues would include a beach catfight with another model, mine was IRL, not via media.

The IRL was at neighborhood cul de sac co-ed touch football.  Two attractive neighborhood 'good girls' who I looked up to had a chippy Saturday afternoon game one time, slapping each others' hand off of each other after plays, and giving each other dirty looks.

Finally, as one long pass play went way downfield, the two good girls lingered back at the line of scrimmage in an angry staredown.  Suddenly, they lunged at each other with fists and feet, trying to destroy each other.  The tore at each others's hair and faces for over 5 minutes.  I thought about it all weekend, and at a neighborhood sleepover, another girl told me they were dating the same guy.

Reasons the touch football girlfight was unexpected:

> Both girls in the fight were "good girls".  Suburban catfights were pretty taboo in the 1970s and early-1980s.  They happened, but the girls who got into them usually had issues at home and were getting into other kinds of trouble.

> Most every girl in the neighborhood had had at least one of the two combatants as a babysitter at one point--bith were considered very responsible and mature by the neighborhood parents.

> They were fighting in front of all the other participants in the game.  They didn't even care who watched.

> The fight was super-violent--hard punches and kicks.

> It lasted sssoooo long.  Very even fight until the end.

> The love triangle plot twist was unexpected.  None of us knew, but they were building to a fight for awhile.

Was the guy both were dating playing in the game by chance? I could certainly see one trying to get the better of the other. Maybe one shoved the other catching her off guard and caused her to fall. While immediately looking to see if the guy had seen her on the ground. If she realized he was looking when it happened I’m sure that would of set one off or at least been the catalyst to start trying to one up the other until it blew up into the all out fight. Curious if they fought to a conclusion? You said it was even until the end, so did you mean till one got control or they just stopped or broken up?

> The guy with the two gf's wasn't at the game.  He thought he had a good thing going by have 2 girls who didn't know about the other, but the distinctive way his car revved at 1am when he would drop one or the other off aftrr a night out had betrayed him a few weeks earlier.

> Fight ending:  the girl I liked better, Trish, got the other girl in a pin and ground-and-pounded her.  No one broke it up; no one dared, they were both in such a rage.  It would have taken 5+ ppl to break it up.
