Here is how the eight round ended:
Kim Delaney (18) vs
Kim Basinger (53)Battle of the Kims failed to deliver any upset and quite frankly Kim Basinger was almost correct when she predicted her own record victory. She had done enough to pummel Kim Delaney all over the place to hold the winning margin record but this was only until Kathleen Turner decided she's going to take that record away. All the experts had little trouble with picking the blonde Kim for an easy success. The brunette Kim proved too big physical mismatch to stand any chance of victory.
Daryl Hannah (45) vs Mitzi Kapture (24)
Glamour Fights stuck his neck out by predicting an upset here but once again the physical mismatch got better of any unexpxcted results. Darryl Hannah had no trouble by tossing the smaller Mitzi Kapture around like a cheap rag doll and quite frankly Mitzi had enough of this one-sided treatment pretty quickly. Daryl hasn't exposed any malicious intent so far and maybe that's why Mitzi escaped a record trashing.
Hunter Tylo (33) vs
Samantha Fox (37)The much bigger but slightly weaker Hunter Tylo came within a couple of punches of taking her first win of the competition but instead of ripping Samantha Fox's overstuffed boobs as
byline vastly predicted, decided to kick her into submission. Samantha struggle to match the brunette physically but was just quick enough to trip Hunter over and that unveiled the brunette's main weakness. By the time Hunter tried to get up on her feet, the blonde singer punched her straight in the face and Hunter crumbled on the floor and Samantha could call herself lucky with that victory. Most of the experts put a lot of faith in Hunter, but she either failed to take notice or was overconfident her maiden win is hers already.
Glamour Fights avanged his previous pick and was the only one who chose Sam as a winner and even called the close nature of this fight correct.
Emma Samms (18) vs
Heather Thomas (51)Unanimous decision by the experts and the only surprise of this fight was Heather's lack of record beating even though she followed Kim Basinger and knew exactly what she had to do. Emma failed to put any resistance against Heather scratching and mauling and was dumped on the floor easily where the blonde leader easily kicked her way into a convincing success. This was still Heather's biggest win of the competition and she leads the standings handily. Guess she only goes for the big prize and Sharon Stone is her main rival for this crown allthough Kathleen Turner begs to differ.
Alison Armitage (29) vs
Audrey Landers (40)Also the second redhead has signalled her submission in this round. Alison had the physical edge over Audrey but the blonde's wrestling session with sister Judy prove much more meaningful. Judy worked the tall Alison over and literally treated her like a training manequine she could practice her moves and throws. In the end Alison could barely catch her breath and got laid flat on her back as Audrey applied sg pin to take the victory.
Realisticman probably had the best recipe for Alison to win this fight, but instead of straight-forward punchfest, the redhead got trapped into a wrestling session she was always destined to lose.
Meg Ryan (34) vs
Tanya Roberts (35)Most of Meg Ryan's previous victories were called an upset and now it's her defeat that also fits that category. Tanya Roberts' voluptous redhead image hasn't given her any real success so far and she's almost taken the role of the prime underachiever of the tournament whereas Meg certainly exceeded the expectactions. But most of the experts believed that Tanya will finally live up to her Sheena heritage and give Meg a real workout. The blonde put up a feisty struggle but paid a prize for her cocky attitude and when she realized that Tanya isn't a weak punchbag and some real muscle strenght needs to be involved, Tanya tripped her over and facesitted into submission. Meg screamed out her defeat which was more surprising for her as well as some observers. I guess she's still scratching her head and wondering what happened.
Rosanna Arquette (22) vs
Donna Dixon (50)Another anonimous decision by the experts and quite frankly Donna could have gone for a bigger beatdown if Rosanna decided she's not going to bother and after a barrage of blows and punches faked out falling unconscious. Donna was happy enough by a quick KO and left the ring while Rosanna opened her eyes and spotted that her rival has gone away, so she could actually save some energy before next fights and avoid a trip to the emergency room. Rosanna has figured out she's not going to win a fight with her fists and must focus on trapping her opponents into a state of overconfidence.
Brooke Shields (30) vs
Kathy Ireland (40)Vicious punchfest between these two ladies ended up in Brooke taking few blows too many to her stomach and going down for a standing 8-count. Kathy thought she's done enough to win at this stage but Brooke vowed to fight again. The next thing she knew was a football hitting her straight in the face and the fight truly was over by then. Kathy still hasn't gotten over the facf she lost to Kate Capshaw and decided she's not gonna show Brooke any sympathy at all. Whether she explored Brooke's uterus as
