Annual Baywatch Xmas Poll
« on: December 22, 2023, 09:02:28 PM »
The Annual Baywatch Xmas Brawl!

{alt}

Previous polls:
2021 - Arm-wrestling: https://www.freecatfights.com/forums/index.php?topic=100015.msg673072
Winner: Gena Lee Nolin
2022 - Fighting: https://www.freecatfights.com/forums/index.php?topic=106871.msg707982
Winner S03: Pamela Anderson
Winner S06: Gena Lee Nolin

{alt}

This year the Baywatch Babes decided to test their strength by wrestling. In a dimly lit bedroom with a huge bed. In their red one-piece swimsuits. High-heels optional.

Who is the strongest, toughest and the most skilled wrestler? You may vote for the two toughest Baywatch babes.

Will the previous years' winners Gena and Pamela still dominate or will Yasmine, Nicole and Alexandra have a chance?

{alt}

The losers will all have to satisfy the winner's every whim during the New Year's Eve party. If they will not obey, they will be spanked until they obey. However, the ultimate loser, the weakest of the lot, will be the winner's maid for the entire year… until the next Xmas Brawl!

Alexandra Paul / Lieutenant Stephanie Holden: 178 cm (5'10") | 56 to 60 kg (123 to 133 lb) | 36AA-23-33
Pamela Anderson / Senior Lifeguard C.J. Parker: 170 cm (5'7") | 57-61 kg (126 to 135 lb) | 37D-25-34

But, where is ERIKA ELENIAK?.
Pam and Erika were the two top cats there.

Leaving Erika out is criminal, especially if someone like Bleeth is going to be included.

Yes, I know Erika is your favorite, but we all have our favorites. There were over two dozen female "main" characters and I can't include all of them.

I agree! Alexandra has always been my favorite, but I don't think she was ever a fierce fighter.

The two female leads/top billed stars were Eleniak and Anderson. Nobody else was close to those two.

Well I don't agree with that. Pam Anderson - yes, but Eleniak - no. Eleniak was only in 47 episodes and she was happy to leave after two seasons. Even if it has nothing to do with Eleniak leaving, Baywatch became popular after she left (season 3 onwards).

Baywatch become popular especially because Erika Eleniak.
It's a fact, not an opinion.
Maybe you don't remember the first days of the serie, my friend.
And obviously, her feud vs Pam was epic and  clásico, for real.

I do remember and season 1 was a flop and the show was cancelled after it's first season, It survived through syndication. It became succesull starting from season 3 (without many of the original characters, including Eleniak).

But that is besides the point. I don't care about Eleniak. It is rather tiresome that whenever I make a poll someone is crying for their favorite. My suggestions is, if you don't like the poll, ignore it, and/or make a poll yourself, or better yet, write a story and include all you favorite characters in it.

Baywatch "flopped" so badly on NBC that it outdrew shows like America's Most Wanted, Life Goes On, and Cops and was .1 behind Quantum Leap. It got cancelled because of complaints about the content, not the viewership.

It absolutely got canceled because of the ratings and also because of how expensive it was to produce.

'Baywatch debuted on NBC in 1989, but was canceled after only one season, when it placed 73rd out of 103 shows in the seasonal ratings, and also because the production studio, GTG (a joint venture of television station owner Gannett Company, later spun off into Tegna, and Grant Tinker, which was established only to produce the newsmagazine based on Gannett's newspaper USA Today), went out of business. Due to high production costs, GTG was unable to finance the series any further.'

The claim that it finished 73rd comes from Hasselhoff's autobiography. Yet another reason not to trust the nonsense linked in a Wikipedia article.

The reality is it finished 60th. Most of the shows that got cancelled, that were above it in the ratings, were NBC shows. They were a lot more cutthroat than the other networks that year. The shows below it in the ratings, that got renewed, were on either Fox or ABC.

Me rude? Sure... I just don't particularly enjoy hearing every time that I have picked the wrong fighters for my poll.
