1. I'm not interested in football (soccer) and that includes the women's game.
2. Because of #1 I have no idea how fantasy football leagues work, but I do know they're a thing.
Having said the above, the UEFA women's finals begin on July 2nd and I may have some interest now. I'm no mathematician but there are 16 nations competing, with 23 players in each squad. The way I see it that's a lot of potential for the imagination.
The initial stages, before the knock-out rounds, are 4 groups of 4 teams. Group C in particular, which is Denmark, Germany, Poland and Sweden, caught my attention the most. Maybe I'm expecting a higher ratio of blondes here. Seems that they're one of my weaknesses

The fact that they'll be representing their respective nations in the national side's kit also gives any imagined scenes an additional edge for me. So my uniform fetish is (sort of) taken care of into the bargain. Knee length socks are a decent stand in for calf-length boots in my opinion. Oh, and I'd expect to see a lot of pony-tails on show. I'll definitely tune in now that I think about it.
If I figure out how to post polls (with pictures etc.), before the tournament starts, I might get around to doing some. Or maybe someone a bit (or a lot) more knowledgeable than me can take it from here? With regards to polls should they be filed under "fictional", or "celebrity"? I'd say celebrity but female footballers aren't exactly household names, so I'm not sure.
And how should any polls be set out? Whole teams/squads vs same? Starting 11's? Same positions vs each other, or vs who they're most likely to be directly up against on the field? Or just pick the hottest one (or 3, 5, or however many) from each side? Lots of potential as I say. Could a fantasy (catfight) football league work?
Here's a link to the squads that have been announced so far, no pics though, but they'll be easy enough to find I'm sure.
