Catfights that nearly happened, but didn't
« on: October 18, 2025, 12:36:31 PM »
I reckon most people here could answer this. When did two people you know come close to a catfight? Something you look back on and think, "what if". If you have a good story, please share it. Here's mine:

There was a girl that I was friends with, and she was into me. I never liked her friends though and we fell out over it. I think I said something that offended one of her friends, but I honestly can't remember now. She was a bitch to me ever since though, and she use to go out of her way to be a bitch to me. A few years down the line I guess, my sister became friends with her. They weren't close and they weren't friends for a long time, but they didn't fall out then. Around a year later my sister started going out with this girl's ex. She got jealous and started being a bitch to my sister, this was all online though. I don't think she was looking for a real fight, she just enjoys being a bitch. I believe my sister might have actually fought her if it came to it, but the other girl never took it that far. My sister got really mad over it though as the other girl is quite witty and said a few things that were actually funny. Them not fighting has frustrated me over time because if this drama happened a year earlier I think they actually might have fought for real. It's also a fight I can't call, they were very evenly matched then, and neither had been in a fight before. Also, me and my sister don't exactly get along, yet, I would have supported her in this fight, because she's my sister. At the same time I wouldn't be too upset for her if she lost, but on the other hand, I would hate for the other girl to be able to boast to me about beating her, so from my perpective there was a lot of intrigue in this. I think about this a lot, it's a shame it never happened.

Before I married my husband I attended an nfl game with him. I dont know much about football. So I was asking alot of questions during the game. On the other side of him was an obnoxious woman who was drinking quite a bit. She was fine until her team started to lose. Being a fan of the opposing team she didn't take to kindly to us. She looked over and said "is this your first football game sweetie"? I just looked at her in silence and quite stunned. Now, anyone that knows me and my fight history knows this woman would destroy me, including my husband. He put his hand on my thigh as to say...she's drunk dont say anything, she's just a bitch. I looked away from her. She immediately said that's what I thought bitch. Sit there and keep your mouth shut if you dont want your ass beat in front of 30 thousand people. I obviously wasnt going to fight her. For one, I didn't want my ass kicked again and 2 getting arrested is not something I wanted to happen. We left a few minutes later. As I scooted past her she tripped with her foot and I fell into a couple in front of me. I kicked my leg through hers. She grabbed my ankle as I tried to keep moving. She was cussing, threatening and reared her hand back as she stood up still holding my ankle. I was becoming scared to death. My husband grabbed me, told her to shut the F up. Her husband also yelled at her. He grabbed my leg and her hand and pulled her off of me. I got in front of my husband and we left the stadium.
We talk about the incident often and what would have happened that day or anytime she was successful of forcing me into a fight. We both agree that I would have been hurt pretty easily.

I was in a group of 5 married couples in a neighborhood.  One of the women, Denise, was out grocery shopping, and was being annoyed by an older, harmless-but-still-creepy guy in the cereal aisle.  She coincidentally saw the husband, Salvatore, of another of the wives in the group, Amy.  To get the creepy stalker to leave her alone, Denise pretended Salvatore was her own husband, and kissed him on the mouth long and hard to make the stalker go away.  When Amy found out, she was livid and wanted to fight Denise.  But they never did.

Wow. That sounds like Denise was waiting for an excuse to do that.

After seeing my mum in a fight I really wanted to see another. Fortunately my best friend at the time had also witnessed his mum in a fight and we thought it would be a great idea to have them fight each other.  We schemed, planned, plotted our fantasy. We asked our mums about the fights they had been in, told lies to them about what the other mum said or thought about them, we would then tell each other what our mums reactions and answers were and pass them on.

This continued for about 8 months, with our mums actually taking a dislike to each other.  However, it came to a head one day when then met at our farm.  As I posted in my story our farm was driven in to the ground by my father and the remaining farm buildings were converted into lockups and garages. My best friends dad rented one of the smaller units just outside the back door of our house. My friends mum, Gladys, for some reason came up to the garage to see her husband (they lived 5 minutes away, and she had never visited before) and she was standing in the yard outside the garage.  My mum noticed her and went out the back door to talk with her.

They were standing maybe 1 metre apart, facing each other, Gladys in a black knee length skirt and a v-necked black sweater, she was about 5'5, average build, bottle blonde shoulder length hair with dark roots. Her low heels brought her to the same height as my mum (who was wearing tight jeans, flat shoes and a red v-necked t-shirt). They were clearly sizing each other up after months of my friend and me telling them the other was talking shit about them, and there was a really tense, electric atmosphere between them.  Words between them were curt and stern, but neither raised their voice or openly insulted the other, and they parted after a minute of so.

If one woman had been pushed towards the other it would have exploded into violence, but unfortunately it didn't happen.  After that neither of our mums would entertain us trying to tell them tales about the other as they had worked out we had fabricated the whole thing so there wasn't even another chance.

This happened to my wife years ago when she worked at a bank. She had been there for 5 years when a new assistant manager was hired. From day one both women didn't care for each other. Over several weeks my wife would complain to me about Dylene, the assistant manager. She would tell me things that Dylene would say to her or did. My wife would also tell me that Dylene would wear too much makeup and walk around with her tits under her chin. I'm sure Dylene was complaining about my wife to her husband.
This one week the manager was attending a 3 day seminar, so my wife and Dylene had to open the branch every morning. My wife would tell me at night how Dylene would jump all over her about different things and my wife was getting aggravated.
The manager came back told everyone staff meeting the next morning.
At the start of the meeting Dylene made a remark about my wife and she went off on her. She got right into Dylene face and said what the f**k is your problem. Gene, the manager wrapped his arms around my wife to hold her back. My wife told me she made a fist and was ready to hit Dylene if Dylene hit her first.
After a few minutes things calmed down and the meeting never happened. A few minutes later my got up and walked out.

bank story reminds me of an incident with my wife at the bank we used.  My wife Jen had several run ins with Laura who worked there.  After one argument my wife told me she would like to punch Laura in the mouth.  Laura had on a pink blouse and black skirt that day. Both women were in their late thirties at the time.  Laura was slightly overweight with short curly blond/gray hair.  Jen was slender with blond frizzy hair. Nothing ever came of it, but I think about that time often.

Laura had on a pink blouse and black skirt that day.

If both women had similar clothing (with no bra and barefoot to begin the fight), that fight would be sexy as hell.
