Catfight Rules?
« on: April 21, 2011, 04:34:43 PM »
... as if there is such a thing!

But I have a catfight coming up against my rising rival wrestler Orlandoe - who hits with palm heels as well as open hand slaps! - and I have been mulling over some conditions for the fight.

I'm going to request these conditions to keep the fight brutal and not *too* technical:

Allowed:
Slapping (anywhere, of course)
hairpulling
choking submissions
scissor submissions
smother submissions

Not allowed:
Knee or ankle locks
shoulder, elbow, or wrist locks

I've been thinking about requesting a TKO condition, where if one of catfighters gets helplessly trapped and is getting slapped mercilessly, then an outside "referee" will call a TKO and pull the dominant girl off and reset the opponents.  That would count as a submission.

I'm still not sure about that one.  I also think there's something nice about getting on top, trapping the opponent, and slapping her into submission.  But if she doesn't submit?  Just keep slapping!  That's pretty wicked too...

Anyway, there is is.  I'm pumped.  It's coming up this weekend!

What about body punches and breast attacks?

Body punches, I hadn't even thought of that.  I wonder if Orlandoe would agree to that sort of thing.... worth throwing it out there!

Have you ever went in that direction much in the past, particularly with the body punching Veve? Good luck and let us know either way what ends up happening.

Yes, actually, I have faced punches in a "girl fight" before. Not just body punches, but punches to anywhere.  That was a rough fight.  It was a private viewing match.  Me against an unknown girl from a cross-town session wrestling agency.  It was pretty incredible, actually.  It started out as a wrestling match, and I was dominating most of the time.  But when the viewing client realized that my opponent also studied a karate-type art, he yelled to her to use punches.  And she did.

I had just come off watching some DVDs of the old UFCs, you know, with Royce Gracie, so I was inspired to take this girl down without throwing a single punch myself.  And I'll tell you that although I ended up with TWO black eyes after that, I won the match with well-timed chokes.

Looking back on that now, I realize that it was *crazy*!!  But, you know, we get in the moment at times like this!

Thanks for the well-wishes!  I will absolutely keep everyone posted.  It's been too long since I've been able to get a chance at another catfight, and this match is going to be be a huge challenge.

Oh, and we're not going to do the TKO thing, by the way.  If one of us gets on top and traps the other, she's just going to be able to stay on top and keep slapping until one of us gives up, no matter how long it takes.  Just her and me.  No third party intervention....

i think that being on top and making your opponent submit is very important. i wouldn't want to miss that part. if the one on top can't make her opponent submit then it's not a real victory.

If don't want it to be technical, then armbars should not be allowed.

I'd say that's a pretty fair way to decide a winner, moreso than relying on being saved by the bell as it were.

Would you consider including any crotch attacks or anything like that, along with the other things being talked about here?

I don't think there are going to be any crotch or breast squeezing/punching attacks.  Maybe at another time.  But for this one, we're fighting to see who can bring the most power to bear against the other.  It's going to be a test of athletic endurance and a contest to see who can take and dish out the hardest hitting punishment.

It's a "put you in your place" type of fight.  A chance to humble her with pure physical might, but not something that's going to cause severe physical injury.  Just some injured pride!

She must be doing a lot of talking I take it huh?

She's feeling a little high and mighty with all of the training she's been doing lately.  She gave me a run for my money in the wrestling match we had last year, but I was able to grab the victory in the end there.  Now she is implying that is strikes were involved, the result would have been somewhat different.  We can't just leave that sort of thing up to speculation, now.  When I offered her the catfight, she accepted immediately and didn't bat an eyelash.  So, time will tell on this one...

I just had a thought. I know you're having a catfight now, but what would you think of this idea for a future match? If she thinks that the outcome may have been different with her being allowed to strike, what if she were given the chance to prove it in strength vs. aggression type match? What I mean by that is, having a wrestling match like the one you had before, only with her being allowed to strike. You though, couldn't.

I think that would be a highly interesting contest myself, with the contrasting styles, and seeing which one would win out. Could be just me though lol, what do you think?

Very "UFC single-digits," I must say ;)  I've done a fight like that before, and I'm not opposed to trying it again.  Style battle.  With style, but of course.

So, for those who've been following this thread....

That fight was insane!  I came out with a bloody lip and got some ringing in my ears, but I felt great!  My amazing videographer just finished up the match video and also passed me a link to the youtube trailer.  Talk about turn-around time.

Here's a sneak preview of the fight, from the youtube clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0RS0tovSdQ
