After removing many long strands of hair from each other's head, I believe it's Jennifer who teaches Carrie a thing or two about pulling hair.  Not wanting to lose more hair than she already has, Carrie gives up, as Jennifer walks away with a tress of Carrie's hair as a momento of the occasion.
