I noticed that Chatropolis, in their latest round of upgrades, finally removed the Catfight chat room.  It is sad to see it go but it had dwindled down to basically being empty most of the time.

But, this was my first online catfight chat home. It must have been 2001 or so when I happened upon the room. There were fights - and good fights - every night there, public fights. Well done, very descriptive. 

There were so many good folks there at one time - Kiran36dd' PerfectTits, CatfightQueen, Amy, April,  OldGuy, Bianca, Karen, my old girlfriend Megyn, LenaD, the list goes on. Lots of fun and laughs.  Friendly rivalries that ended up in hissing fights.  It was great, sexy fun and eventually someone there led me over here.

Times and fashion changes, and after a while, a new crowd came in and they were loud, persistent, and preferrred more live sex shows, strap on parties... simple giggle and slap play that led to domme-fests.  Lots of the long time fighters ended up leaving.  Some stayed, joined in some of the newer play but, the days of good fights were gone.

Finally it got to the point where hardly anyone visited the room.  Then it died.

I miss those folks who disappeared, but I know there are a few chatropolis refugees here.

Not familiar with it myself but it is always sad when a community dies. On the plus side the good memories stick with you whilst the bad tend to fade awhile.

I agree with you Sasha i remember another place that was always full and had a lot of fun in it is still going but it is very small.

Time rolls along.  Never tried Chatropolis.  It is interesting though that it appears that room followed the trajectory of many of these chat rooms.  You get a good and loyal crowd that is generally friendly and having fun.  Then you get a few people that insist they are the true fighters and everybody should do things their way.  Eventually the original base group moves someplace else and the room implodes under its own weight. 

I guess the area I was most disappointed to see dying is Yahoo and the one real exception to this rule.  They originally had a build your own chat room that was pretty cool.  Every group listed the members that were online who were members of the group so you could quickly find people with similar interests.  And they had a fun easy to use profile.  It seems to me they have systematically dismantled everything that was cool about their groups/rooms/profiles until all they have left is a decent chat interface.  I keep waiting for somebody to pick up the mantle and fill that void.  Seems to me Facebook is partially there, but that is about it.  Any others?

Hard for many in the chatroom to believe, i was so unknown at chatro as i did everything in priv...i know a whole bunch of people here from chatro who aren't even aware i used to go there....starting with Aitch Bea :p

It was a good room....with an ignore feature......and off the top of my head i can think of 12 people form there that are here at fcf and yahoo.

Yep, I vaguely recall seeing your name there but we had zero interactions.  Now we're making up for lost time

Dalnet on IRC is were I got my first introduction to these chat-rooms. I sometimes look over the logs from those days when i feel like reminiscing. I was very quiet in those days. I made some good friends there, in fact one of them is still a very good Friend that i talk with a few times a week. We left Dalnet and went to another IRC server because the server's kept crashing. The rooms thrived at the other IRC server for a long time then slowly died off. One is still there with a small core group of people there.

I was in a bunch of the rooms in the dalnet days too.  I went by the name DarkPaladin back in those days.  Mostly a lurker but met some nice people too.
