Batgirl vs the Queen of Hearts (Story)

Batgirl (Yvonne Craig)

{alt}
The Queen of Hearts (Ann-Margret)

Batman, Robin and the intrepid officers of the Gotham City Police Department were mopping up the rest of the Royal Flush Gang, putting an end to their crime spree, while Batgirl went in pursuit of the one gang member who made an escape, the voluptuously villainous Queen of Hearts.

Tracking the felonious female to the gang's hideout in an abandoned playing card factory, the dominoed daredoll slips inside, where she finds the Queen hurriedly packing a satchell full of money and jewels from previous robberies.  Stepping out of the shadows, Batgirl proudly stands with hands on her hips and says, almost innocently, "You aren't thinking of leaving so soon, are you?  There's so much more of Gotham to see...like the cells at police HQ!"

Whirling around, the redheaded robber snarls, "Batgirl!  I could stand Robin taking me in, but there's no way in hell I'm letting Batman's little pom pom girl nab me!"  Pulling an innocent-looking deck of cards from her own utility belt, the Queen throws them towards the heroine, glints of light revealing the razor-sharp edges of the cards.  Batgirl just manages to duck under them, pulling her batarang from her own belt as she does so.  "Here," she says, "now try mine!"  The bat-shaped weapon arcs through the air toward its target...only to have the Queen catch it with her hand.  A sinister smile on her face, the villainess flings it back toward Batgirl and says, "Thanks, I think I will!"  The heroine just narrowly dives out of the way as the batarang whizzes just past her ear.

To her surprise, rather than fleeing, Batgirl finds her adversary charging at her.  Before the masked heroine can stand up, the Queen unleashes a kick, with the toe of her boot clipping Batgirl under the chin.  The blow sends her tumbling backward, but she uses her acrobatic training to roll with the momentum and pop up on her feet.  Assuming a fighting stance, Batgirl says, "Not making your escape when you had the chance is the last in a long line of mistakes you've made!"

Smirking as she assumes her own combat stance, the Queen replies, "We always knew we'd have to face you Batniks sooner or later, so I've been training specifically for you.  How could I possibly walk away from this opportunity to prove I'm better than you?"  The villainess lashes out with another kick, but this one misses its target as Batgirl side-steps; the heroine counters with a sweeping kick of her own, but the Queen blocks it with her forearm.

They duel this way for several minutes, Gotham's two most spectacular pairs of legs lashing out, some kicks landing while others find only empty air.  The two women find themselves too evenly matched in this contest, so Batgirl breaks the stalemate by suddenly lunging at her rival and tagging her with a punch to the jaw.  The Queen's head snaps hard to the side with a pained grunt, and the redheaded heroine slips up behind her and locks on a sleeper hold.  "Here's something I've been working on for Catwoman, to give her a little cat-nap.  But it'll work just was well on you, your majesty," she says with no small amount of cocky glee in her voice.

Suddenly, Batgirl yowls in shock as she is flipped over, and she lands with a thud to the floor.  Scrambling to her feet she spins around to face her adversary...and is met with a kick straight up between her thighs.  "H-holy...honeypot!" the heroine whimpers as her legs buckle and she drops to her knees, her hands clutching her throbbing womanhood.  Smirking, the Queen grabs Batgirl's mask and tears it off of her, and is stunned to find a red-haired wig along with it, revealing Batgirl to instead have a short brunette pixie haircut.  "Hmmmfff," the villainess scoffs.  "You're not only my inferior, but you're a poor imitation of a redhead to boot."

Unmasked, Batgirl uses her hands to cover her face and hide her identity, but that leaves her wide open for a kick to the solar plexus, which knocks the air from her body with a whoosh.  Dazed, Batgirl is helpless to prevent her opponent from snaking her own legs around the heroine's head and locking on a figure four headscissors.  The heroine's blue eyes go glassy as she gasps for breath, her taut body's squirmings growing slower and weaker by the moment.  Ultimately, Batgirl's eyelids flutter shut and she gives a pitiful sigh, signaling that she has been rendered unconscious.

The brunette awakens with a pained groan, the harsh light stabbing her eyes.  She sits up and realizes she is on a cot...and that she is in a cell.  Looking down, she sees that she no longer wears her costume, but is left only in her bra and panties.

From the darkness in the room beyond the cell, a voice says, "I hope you like the accommodations...it's just something we threw together when we settled in here, in case we got our hands on one of you masked meddlers.  You'll find it quite escape-proof"  Suddenly, a figure steps out of the gloom and up on the other side of the bars, and Batgirl sees...herself!  "How do I look?" the Queen asks, giving a pirouette as she displays herself garbed in her rival's own costume, the scalloped cape flowing as she turns.  Eyes narrowing in anger, the true Batgirl hisses, "You'll look better in prison stripes!"

Ignoring the hollow threat, the Queen gleefully says, "Imagine my surprise, once I got a good look at you, to discover that the world famous Batgirl is also little Barbara Gordon, daughter of the Police Commissioner.  Oh, yes...don't be so shocked.  The Royal Flush Gang did its homework."

Defiantly, Barbara crosses her arms over her chest and turns her head, sniffing, "Reveal my identity to the world if you want...that still won't stop me from making sure you pay for your crimes!"

"Oh, your ID is our little secret...for now at least, Babs."  Saucily pacing back and forth, one hand languidly brushing the bars of the cell door, the Queen continues, "First of all, however, I'll be putting this costume of yours to good use.  As you know, Marie Antoinette's diamond-encrusted euchre cards are on loan to the Gotham Museum of Antiquities.  The gang had planned to break in and steal them, but I have a better idea.  After all, since the trusted Batgirl can come and go at the museum anytime she pleases, I'm just going to walk in there and take them."

"You'll never get away with it!" the authentic Batgirl says, with more bravado than honesty.

"Oh, I most certainly will get away with it," the hellacious harlot purrs.  "And the most delicious part of it is, the police will then be hunting for Gotham's new Public Enemy Number One, Batgirl, while the Queen of Hearts slips out of town and fences those cards for several million dollars."

"And what about me?" the brunette asks, trying hard to hide the edge of trepidation in her voice.  Rubbing her chin with her hand while her eyes glance upward as if searching for the answer, the Queen responds, "Welllll...it would be fun to anonymously turn you over to the cops for the reward."  Then a malevolent smile breaks across her face, "But here's a better idea:  the one and only Batgirl, put up for auction before the creme de la creme of Gotham City's underworld.  Imagine it Babsy...you as the personal slave girl of Boss Falcone or the Riddler...that is, if they just don't fill you full of lead."  The redhead pauses for a moment, then adds, "Sucks to be you, doesn't it?"

"Now if you'll excuse me," the Bat-imposter says as she turns to leave, "I have the crime of the year to pull off.  Ta ta!"  The clack of her heels fade as Batgirl buries her face in her hands and breaks down in tears.
