Beware Thunderkittens
« on: March 27, 2014, 03:12:59 PM »
If you are on the market for a custom wrestling video, stay away from thunderkittens.  Below is the email I sent to the management on March 26th, it details my experiences with this company.  I have all the email evidence, snapshots of text messages and a snapshot of my receipt where I pay these people on Paypal, which verifies my story below.  Please beware of these people, they have no business ethics whatsoever.

“Thunderkittens Management”

On February 6th, 2014 I paid you $250 via Paypal in exchange for a custom video that was previously agreed upon through a lengthy email exchange.
Later realizing that I never got a projected delivery date for my custom order, I emailed you again on February 10th to ask when I would receive my product, to which you replied “two to three weeks.”

On March 1st, after waiting well over the “two to three weeks”, I again had to contact you regarding the status of my order.
You replied the same day with an email, stating that you would call me, but due to my schedule, I was unable to speak with you.
On March 2nd, you sent me an email stating that the weather and family issues had prevented you from operating normally, but that on March 5th, you would begin normal operations and begin scheduling custom videos again.

I replied to you on the same day, requesting my money back as soon as possible, and that if you did not agree to pay me back for services that had not been delivered within the time initially agreed upon, then I would contact Paypal to see if they could help me retrieve my funds from you.  In this email I gave you a 72 hour window to respond to me.

After waiting the 72 hours, and never hearing back from you, on March 5th, I submitted a case through the Paypal resolution center, and notified you immediately after by email to let you know that I had done so.

You immediately tried to call and text me.  You seemed concerned all of a sudden about me as a customer, despite the fact that not once, had you ever seemed concerned about the fact that you had my money for an entire month, never notifying me of the extended amount of time that I would have to wait longer than agreed upon to get my custom video.

You sent me an email on March 5th, sharing with me your family situation and stating that as the cause for me not getting my custom video within the time agreed upon.  In this email, you also stated that if I retracted the Paypal dispute, you would deliver to me my custom video “within the next two weeks”.  (It is now well after that promised time)

Paypal denied to help me retrieve my lost money, as the said goods are considered “intangible”, and since they were not going to be physically shipped, then there is nothing that they can do for me with this case.  This response was sent to me on March 5th as well, the same day I submitted the request.
I immediately notified you by email of the fact that Paypal would not do anything to help me retrieve my money from you, and that you could in fact take any of your customers money if they, like me, paid you through Paypal for something that they had to wait for you to produce and send via email.

You replied to me, assuring me that you were “not going to make off with my money”, but asked me to send my script again.  At that point, it was obvious to me that I was never going to receive anything, being that an entire month after I paid you, and sent you my script, that you didn’t even have the script I initially sent you, but I sent it to you again as you requested.

After not hearing anything back from you about whether or not you even received the script, that I have sent to you twice now, I emailed you yet again to ask you if you got it on Friday, March 7th.  To this you replied “got it”.

It is now March 26th, one week after the second “promised” date of delivery.  And more importantly, twice now that you have lied to me during the course of this long overdue delivery of a product that I paid for in good faith.  I still have nothing, and given your practices, it is not unbelievable to think that I will never get anything from you.

In conclusion, I have received nothing but awful customer service from your “company”.  As a business owner, it is an expectation that you would be the one to notify the customer of arising situations regarding goods to be received.  You have never taken the initiative in contacting me about anything.  I have always had to contact you and ask you for what I have already paid for.  The only time you did make an effort to contact me, was when you were temporarily threatened with the belief that you might be in trouble with Paypal, but you have obviously relaxed again since you found out you had the upper hand, because today I have neither my $250 or my custom video.  You have refused me on more than one occasion to refund my money.  So I am asking you for the last time to refund me for failing to deliver what was agreed upon not once, but twice.

"Piece of shit and rip off artist"?

According to him, It's my problem that his personal life is interfering with the production of my video that he promised to deliver a month ago. Since then, I've gotten two other unfulfilled promises.

Here's one... If you give thunderkittens your money... I personally promise you'll lose it  :)

Now I'm being told I have to wait until after April 7th. Keeping in mind I paid him on February 6th.

He is not at all willing to pay me my money back. Somehow he believes that he is justified to make the customer wait, while lying to them repeatedly, as long as he delivers the custom at some point in the future.

Don't trust www.thunderkittens.com.

Update for all of you that are paying attention...

It has been weeks since I initially posted this and still no resolution on a refund of my $250 from Thunderkittens "Management".

I have however been promised a couple different dates this month, April for production of my custom video that I paid for on February 6th.

No matter how many times I ask this person to refund my money, they keep blaming me for the tragedy in their family, for the weather in their area, and telling me that I have to just keep waiting longer.

They literally said this to me "I will do everything in my power to either refund your money or deliver your custom via email"

If everything within your power still isn't enough to deliver what I want, which is my money... then obviously you have no power, or no capital to deliver it.  So ask yourselves this... if this person has no money, how do they expect to pay anyone to make custom videos?  How do they stay in business at all?  What a joke, this person can't even pay me back $250??

They spent my money has been spent on something other than my custom video.  Who knows how many other people they have robbed, or are in the process of robbing right now.

PLEASE WARN EVERYONE THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THUNDERKITTENS.

Though I have and never will meet any of you, I would hate to see you go through the constant lies and BS that I have been going through for months, and will probably continue to go through until I see this company pay for how they have treated me.

Chuck

Nothing yet but more excuses and future dates of a refund.

I have been given promised dates of April 7th, April 14th and now he is telling me May 17th.

Paypal allows thieves like this to operate without penalty, which is sad.  I wish someone could do something to help me recover my funds.

More importantly though, is that I would like the help of anyone reading this to spread the word about how I am being given the run around for nearly 3 months now.  I don't want anyone to have to go through what I am going through.

If you give Thunderkittens your money, they will use it for something other than what you agree you are paying for.

I have ALL the evidence you could want as well in saved emails.  Thanks for reading and be safe in who you deal with.

I know how you feel , I donated blood 1 time & in return , 1 of the things they gave me was a travel voucher for 2 free nights in a resort hotel or just hotel in a choice of numerous different areas & since I was taking a vacation in Arizona that year , I figured it would be perfect since Sedona , Arizona was on the list & I was planning to spend 2 days there .

The company asked for a $50 credit payment & due to a " possibility the dates & times I needed may not be available " I had to select back up dates , so I choose alternate days for Scottsdale & another in a city where I was going to later on & despite this was like 4 1/2 months in advance , when I finally got my response , the reply was " dates not available " & since the rest of my vacation dance card was full & the my vacations would be after the voucher expired , I asked for my refund .

I saw only afterwards on a consumer site that this company was not one with a great reputation , the phone number is not a 1-800 number , but a number where it would be a long distance call & when you called , you got one of those " all lines are busy , please hold " messages where people said you waited , waited , waited , waited , & waited , & yes , waited some more & it could cost you more on your phone bill then calling to get the refund & when I called , sure enough , I got the m" all lines are busy " message & after 5 minutes I said " hell no " I am not waiting " & hung up .

I found a consumer site where you could make complaints , think it might of been the same one I saw the rest of the complaints about this company & told my story & before I knew it , the company representative was quick to want to do the right thing , but it also became a runaround & needless to say , my vacation came & went , the $50 would of been helpful on the trip , but I still have not gotten the refund , so I kept bashing them until I finally did get my refund , all the time they played it like they were a great company with TONS of satisfied customers & they were DEEPLY SORRY FOR ALL THE DELAYS & HEADACHES .

Wish I remembered the name of this site where I bashed them , but I will see if I could find it for you , but meanwhile , maybe you can find a consumer site like this & BASH THEM OVER & OVER until they decide it is time to quit hiding & refund your money

Max, or whatever his name is, owner of www.thunderkittens.com has given me yet another promised date for refund of my $250.  I mean, what kind of person can't afford $250?  Definitely not a business owner.

My new promised date is now... THE END OF MAY

Mind you, he is going back and forth with me over email, but is just feeding me lie after lie since I paid him on February 6th.

I received 3 different dates in April, two for this month, May 17th being the last one, and now I am being told the end of this month.

I will keep you all updated, please if you want to support me, email him at thunderk2012@gmail.com or dianatk72@gmail.com

Tell him exactly what it is you think of a person who takes a customers money, which was given in good faith for promised product, then uses that money on their personal affairs, and refuses to refund the victim!  Thanks so much for your support.

Part of the scam... they only accept PayPal, which is a reputable payment method.  However, Paypal's protection does not cover "intangible" items such as an internet acquired video download.   So thunderkittens can take your money and never give you anything in return without any reprocussion.

Have you considered small claims court? I know the rules vary from jurisdiction, but I have known people suggest it as an option for dealing with things such as Kickstarter non deliveries of product. Yes it might take awhile but if you want a feeling that you are perhaps doing something about the problem it might be an avenue to consider.

I have contacted a few attorneys and they all recommended that, problem is that I am not currently in the country, and won't be for the rest of the year so hopefully when I return I can still file some type of action against him, if he is not out of business by then.

Ok...we are clarifying right now
we are not ripoff artists
we have repeatedly explain to all our understanding client that due
to the severe cold weather and record snowfall we have not had any production
new production for a while. The family member was in the hospital since January and died
of complications April 4th...hence April was a time of mourning
All of our other clients eagerly waiting for us have been more than understanding
And sensitive to our time of sorrow
Now Chuck has threatened to sue and has been completely insensitive
to our situation
others who have said our stuff is fake. ..duh...its fantasy wrestling
others who have said Max has been rippin people off for years
Max is not the owner and we do not give clients like looking4catfighters hand jobs in our sessions
nor do we cancel at the last minute cause we got pulled over for DUI
we have offered to settle w chuck by offering him videos from our catalog
He was insensitive again....and this man is part of a whole protecting our country. ..reassuring
we will continuing to practice our more than fair business tactics
we just need to be more selective on who we choose customs for

"More than fair business tactics" according to Thunderkittens is....

Luring someone in to pay for a custom video that they never produce because of personal affairs
Using customer money to pay for personal situations
Never paying the customer back

Sounds like a solid business plan to me... you can't lose money!
