Leather and Lace are a long established company with a good reputation, so I'm surprised you've had a bad experience with them. What went wrong?

  Well I had a girl lined up, Greg had all kinds of excuses after her had my money, No a/c, then ring needed a new cover, then he slacked of on replies.  Then he said he gave her almost all of the money, and sent me dvd's to make up the difference. Which was bull. Any dvd I got, I pd for long before hand. What producer would give a model all the money, even money the other girls were to get. So beware of his lying  and cheating ways

Wow. A Folly of Errors. If a producer scuttles the cash by giving it to the girls, and then they don't do the video, then that not the customer's problem. You are not the one that lacked discretion with the cash.

Fair is fair. You should have been given a choice of cash refund or choice of DVDs. This is a tough business and stuff like that gives producers a bad name. Sorry to hear of your bad experience.

This is helpful.  How common are ripoffs?  My sense is that non-market wait times would be more common.   I wonder what people think is the  standard amount of time between payment for a custom and delivery of a download or DVD?

You don't want a company that runs their shop like a ponzi scheme.

Hopefully companies will leave your money aside and use it to pay the model once she works. If she no shows, then your money should be refunded.

Customs are not easy to do at all, though. Many times models will no show or cancel at the last second. Still no excuse for not having your money available.

   Times models do cancel. Even after they show up. Then they should give you the option, refund or reshoot with another model. Not like greg , Sabina, or the trash from custom catfights 4 you. By stealing 1's hard earned money,

Another one you should add to this list is spectrum custom requests, just like custom catfights 4u they start out acting like they will work with you and after you give them the payment they start ignoring you and they won't reply to your e-mails.

And I told them up front before I paid that I was scammed previously and because of that I wanted more correspondence and have them to maybe send me a pic or a screenshot of that shoot to show that it was done, and on the day of the shoot I got no replies and not indication anything. Oh and another reason why I knew I was being scammed was that during this time I monitored the twitter accounts of the two models who were apparently going to be in the shoot and all the way up to the day of the shoot they gave no indication that they had a shoot coming up involving this company.

About the only good thing that came out of this was the company did give me a refund, but in turn started sending me hateful e-mails saying that I was the one that scammed them, well they should have known when I told them up front that I was trying to be more cautious from where I got scammed previously by custom catfights 4 u and apparently they didn't get the message because they are just like custom catfights 4 u and other scam companies that are on this list.

Just right now, overall I'm just frustrated with it all. I mean, are all these catfight companies con artists when it comes to customs? I mean, if there are any they need to show that they are reputable and can be trusted, they need to work more with the customer and show them screenshots or some kind of evidence that their customs are being done.  I just don't know what to say.

I also was duped by Keri Spectrum.  I sent her a script and paid her and she went silent.  I made sure to make my emails during this silent phase to be very, very pleasant bc I wanted her to get back to me.   When she did, she said the video was done.  Then she sent me the wrong video! Personally, I think it was a stalling tactic bc she never even did the real video I asked for.  I told her very nicely that she sent me the wrong thing.  She said, "oops" and sent me another video.  Unfortunately, this was also incorrect.   Eventually after many months, she sent me the video I paid for.  And boy was it not worth the wait.  Maybe 40% of the details I asked for were included.  I watched it once and vowed never to use her again.
