Hi guys.
I've been following the catfight scene ever since the Internet went mainstream (c. 1995) and have watched a large number of video fights in my time. Much as I'd love to, I've not seen one in the flesh.
Over the coming week, I'm gonna try to write short introductions to my seven all-time favourite catfights (with links to the video if available). It's a completely self-indulgent countdown and generally reflects my taste for limited-rules contests, but if it points any catfight newbies towards some undiscovered jewels, so much the better. The descriptions won't contain spoilers as far as I can help it. Although I will provide web-links, please support the producers if you like the clips. I have most of these in my private collection too - in other words, they were good enough to pay for, and the definition is almost always better when you do. Not only that, but by doing so, you help ensure that it's commercially worthwhile for producers to continue making these fights for our delectation.
Many of these videos will have been featured on these boards in one form or another before, so you might not feel that there is much to add. However, I love reading other aficionados reactions to these gems, so go ahead and make a comment! I wonder how many of my 7 are also in your list of wonders?
So... let's start my 7 Wonders of the Catfight World with...
7. Khloe v. Diamond (Crystal)
Khloe the stunning blonde (and probable High-School-Queen) is back at Crystal for her second fight after being quickly dispatched by Amanda in her debut. Diamond, her girl-next door-opponent is also a returning fighter coming off a loss, and when you see them both being interviewed pre-fight, it’s hard to imagine that this could be anything other than a friendly tussle between two good-looking girls in jean-shorts and sports-tops. Someone is going to get their first win though.
Who could imagine the viscious encounter that was to follow? The hairpulling is jaw-dropping in its intensity and one girl seems to get an early advantage, punching her opponent repeatedly in the face as she goes for a quick win. Do we have a submission in the first two minutes? Confusion reigns temporarily but the fight is soon rejoined. If these girls didn’t hate each other at the start, they do now.
The second half looks like a pretty one-sided affair, but is decided only when one girl eventually wears the other down, suddenly realises that she has attained clear dominance and then goes for the finish in utterly ruthless fashion. If you want a decisive ending, this is it. The victor punches relentlessly through the tears, sobs, screams and pleas of the humiliated loser. She might be a fucking bitch but she’s incredibly sexy with it and makes absolutely sure there is no uncertainty about this submission. The loser’s nascent career as a catfighter is over before it has hardly begun. The winner has her first scalp. If you like a catfight with a twist and a LOT of emotion, you can't miss this one.
