ideas for cyber matches
« on: November 22, 2014, 06:07:44 PM »
types of matches from rhondaskickasswrestling

here are some different types of matches to give you all ideas... some i have heard from others and others i thought of myself... they kick ass!

the "standing room only" match
a wrestling match that's played like a boxing match... only holds and throws that can be done from a standing position are allowed... if someone falls to the mat then they need to get back to their feet by a count of ten or they lose

the first to cry match
whoever cries the first loses... good for all you pain freaks out there ;) make the bitch cry!

the points match
things are scored in a match -- such as follows
one point for a takedown
two points for "control" meaning you control your opponent for five turns in a hold or having some kind of superior positioning over them

my corrollary number one to that
you get two more points for each turn after the five ;)

three points for a pin or submission
and four points for a knockout!

you can play up to whatever total you want and my corrollary number 2
one of you... whoever is more cocky ;) can say that you can get a certain number of points on the other person before a certain number of turns are up... you have to get the points or your opponent wins

then we have the "i can beat you with this hold or move..."
for all of you out there who think they have one killer move or hold which no one can win against... you have to win that match with that move or hold

then we have the "ko in the mirror" match
you wrestle in front of a mirror and the only way to win is to choke your opponent out in some kind of hold right in front of the mirror! so she or he can watch themselves sloooohhhhhwwwwly drain awayyyyyyyy...

when you're done choking them out... then you can throw them into the mirror! ;) I know that's seven years' bad luck, but is it bad luck for the winner or bad luck for the loser???

these are just some of the more interesting ones that i've come across... i probably will add more soon... but what do you all think of them? and are there any ideas you've found that you would like to share with everybody?

and as always... i'm always looking forward to kicking as many asses around here at wrestling as i can!
think i can kick your ass?  i think so ;)

Some great ideas! Thanks for sharing. I have done matches featuring aspects or something similar to those mentioned here & would like to share some suggestions & thoughts.....

"first to cry match" - I think I would win too many this way, lol. Something I think is even more ruthless however is ignoring your opponents cries & continuing to work them over beyond & passed them crying - really crushing their confidence & destroying them emotionally as well as physically  ;)

"points match" - I've done similar where 1 point is awarded for a pin or take-down, 2 points for a verbal submission or tap-out, 3 points for a ten-count knockout, and, if you're feeling 'naughty', lol, you could also award 5 points for 'another type of submission', hehe. You agree at the outset to make it the first person to reach whatever points, or on a 'best-of' however-many. These can be good from a domination perspective or to really leave an opponent thoroughly drained. lol. If you feel that a match like this could be one-sided, you could also start off with a points-handicap for one of the wrestlers - so someone starts with some points on the board already, so to speak.

"I can beat you with this hold or move" - Many people on here seem to like having a favourite finisher or a speciality finish, so making a match where you & your opponent use those on each other only can be great fun & real test of creativity & imagination. You can even try making it a match where each opponent has to use the others fav finisher/special finish - there's nothing quite like putting an opponent away & beating them silly with their own supposed fav move! lol

"ko in the mirror" - Perfect use for those full-length mirrors, or where I've done matches in a dance-studio style room location. Having your opponent (and you) getting to see effective holds & moves from unusual angles or viewpoints can add interesting spice to a match. Making an opponent pass-out is always a good display of dominance - having them being able to watch their own demise, either being choked out, sleepered, crushed, or simply passing out from the pain of extended application of a hold can be both intense & add extra spice to a match. And yeah - definitely bad-luck for the loser if you decide to hoist their carcass into the mirror when they're done. lol.

Anyway - great topic for discussion. Hopefully it persuades some others to share their ideas & thoughts. But let's not forget also, that sometimes there is something very special about a 'unique arrangement' you share with certain opponents & only do certain types of matches with those people because the ingredients just seem to blend together so well.......you know who you are  ;)

An idea for a tag team fight, or about any style fighting: each team has people who specialize in  two particular but different ways of fighting. For example, each team might have  a boxer and a submission wrestler. Each matches with the other team opponent in her specialty. When a new fighter tags in,  the other team member who does her specialty also goes in to face her.

So the two wrestlers have been going at it and one needs a rest, or is in trouble vs,  the others team's wrestler. She tags her partner, the boxer,  in and the other boxer also must go in to box. Four people having great fun and a competitive challenge in the fight style they each enjoy most and have developed skills in. Any two styles of fight would work, mixed, MvM, just whatever the people like best of course. A cool twist would be in some of the fighters have personal 'history' or have matched with each other in the past.  The match would end at the first tap, or the remaining fighter could maybe keep going vs both  fighters of the other team.
The focus of such a match is pretty much on fight skills and that each person specializes in fighting of a certain type and will face an opponent who has the same focus.

The 'SRO' idea is similar to the London Prize Rules barefisted boxing of the early nineteenth century (several women did such fights). Fighters could not do wrestling holds..it was unloved boxing..but they could throw the opponent to the ground, then the one down has all of 30 second to get up and continue. No 'rounds' with rest periods. The fighting just continued til one either gave up could no longer get up in the 30 seconds. At least the staying in one way of matching, the throwing down, and having to get up in a limited time is similar to the 'standing room only' idea. Yep, I know about my stuff, but I also know DOing my stuff.

My online Love Kathyfist and I challenge any and all to take us on in such a tag match. Kat would box, I would sub wrestle or NHB brawl, whichever we can find someone who has one of those as their best fight and wants one heck of a challenge.  Come READY, ~smile~
The rules of present day boxing, "Queesnbury rules", were devised to reform what an English aristocrat, the Marquis of Queensbury,  thought was too brutal a way of fighting.

here's another one

the win by every way match

it's a best of five match where you have to win three by "every way"
first way is by pin fall
second is by submission
and the third is by knockout

how does that one sound to you?
think i can kick your ass?  i think so ;)
