What got you into female fighting videos?
« on: June 04, 2015, 06:15:58 PM »
I'm not sure if this is an already active thread but if so my apologies. I was wondering what got most of you into female fighting? For me it was the movie. "...all the marbles" particularly the mud wrestling scene after that I was hooked for life. What movies, TV programs,  or incidents turned you on to the world of female fighting?

Also to add to the topic I'm curious to know what is your favorite catfight/female fighting scene or film? Mine for example is a film called "Rage" by California wildcats.

A old playboy I stole from my dads collection, had a pictorial of Luscious Lisa, Magnificent Mimi, Belinda Belle and a few others. After I saw that it was down the rabbit hole for me with the old pro wrestling illustrated that had the apartment wrestling advertisements in the back.

Man I had it bad for Magnificent Mimi  :D I loved her in LPWA. I also really liked G.L.O.W. I don't know how those outfits passed the censors. You gotta love the 80's!

Personally I would prefer the pro girls of the wwe and tna to wear those one piece outfits like Mimi wore in the LPWA or American Angels

I miss the old California Wildcats. I really wish somebody would use there old formula and produce lengthy scenario catfights  again. The buildup to those fights were awesome and made the inevitable fights (which were good on there own) that much better. Now every catfight is just a quick exchange between ladies and off they go. Very little buildup or story telling nowadays.

I also miss the build up that used to happen. For me that is one of the only drawbacks of a company like Foxycombat, very good action beautiful girls just no build up or I just don't understand Czech.

The only companies I'm aware of that from time to time have a little build up and story to there fights are Webringit and Dtwrestling, nowhere near to the level of California Wildcats but a little more than your current products have nowadays.

Sports Review Wrestling Mag. That lead to Golden Girls which used many talents from the old " Hollywood Tropicana " From there
the Cavalier " Fight Time " letters section although I have since heard that those were mostly fabricated but you couldn't convince
an impressionable boy at the time they weren't real!!

Then Video Sports Ltd. from the late great Tricia Brown really good competition. From there I had the pleasure of working and
knowing the founder of Women Warriors. Some excellent tapes were made there. I always drifted towards competitive and
still do.

My first video was VSL Lightweight Tourney an amazing tape. Buckets of sweat.

What do you think was the best era for vid tapes? Was it the early stuff or did you pick it up around DWW. Good topic Jaybee.

Like to hear from other fans how they got there start.

That's an easy question the late 80's to mid 90's best era hands down. The quality of those fights were fantastic those girls weren't scared to get down and dirty and break a nail. Also to give another example of  a 5* storyline catfight check out "Lost on the bad side"  by California Wildcats.

"All the Marbles" was classic don't forget all the WIP genre as well at the time. There were about 20 made in that era some of
high quality.

Some of these classic matches are over at Rockin- Roxanne.

Lady Hawke, Women Warriors, especially had some good matches back then.

Another decent movie with wrestling is "Mugsy's  Girls" sometimes called "Delta pi". 5 girls enter a mud wrestling competition in Vegas to save there sorority house. It use to come on USA Up All night now you'd be lucky to find a copy anywhere.

My 1st introduction to the world of catfights was finding a stack of True Detective magazines in my father's night stand. The covers were loaded with drawings of gun molls tearing one anothers tops off and pulling hair.

Then I saw the western "Destry" where Marlene Dietrich catfights a patrons wife in a smokey saloon................I was hooked. Felt something stir deep down inside me. Little did I know it was my semen.

When I got older there was "From Russia With Love". Best movie catfight ever.

After that I graduated to the peep booths of Times Square to do some private catfight watching.

Next was a Super 8 movie projector of my own. My 1st video was of a Candy Samples catfight against Uschi Digard (??).

In my opinion, the best videos made for the consumer were the early California Wildcats movies, and any Crystal Movies (especially the video magazine collection).

P.S. I also was a big-time fan of Cavalier Mens Magazine. Especially when they began including many of the stories I wrote and mailed into them. The main series was the "Maureen vs Dee" catfights.
Those stories were actually based on a couple of nasty fights my wife Maureen had with a neighbor named Dee. The rest is history.
