My only issue now is Dana White A. behaves like he's her boyfriend all the time now, (which will end very badly regardless if it's true or not,) and B. puts her in the ring with creampuffs that don't look like they have ever sparred before. She didn't win at the Olympics, (in fact in spite of her Bronze, she got schooled by the top judo fighters at the games that year,) so there's clearly better and tougher fighters out there.
I am not taking away from how tough she is, but she and White need to stop challenging men and start looking for better female fighters.
What biased BS, Rousey Was a gold cup femal judoka at the world games in England if memory serves, medaled at the Olympics, and that was the Rousey of 7 years ago before she even began her mma career, and ignores all her work and imprisonment since. She is ranked the #1 pound for pound woman fighter by every MMA fight organization there is, with a record of wins beyond parallel by any woman in mma history, Cat Zingano and Meisha Tate are among the best fighter there are, with Tate, I think, being the only woman who has lasted against her into a second round. She is fighting anyone he UFC can find who will do it. So to say Rhonda is tough and leave it at that, is like saying Michelangelo was a painter and saying no more. She is a highly skilled, unparalleled champion in world-wide competition, and to say less it to discount the achievement of the best woman fighter that has yet been seen.
Name one with anywhere near her win record who could be taken seriously as opponent at her level that she is not ready to fight. Cris Cyborg will not drop to bantam weight or that would happen. Bethe Correia is the only other serious opponent around for her, and that fight will happen in UFC 190 in August. Good fighters like Holly Holmes have not earned the rank to match Rousey. Who else is there?
Just the truth of it.
