During a recent visit to Las Vegas Katy Perry attended a show with Mariah Carey and claimed that she can sing better than Mariah. Katy's own words: 'She's had her days, she's just not at her peak anymore. Now, I could sing that old girl flat against the wall.'
Mariah, after friends of hers conveyed Katy's words to her, did not decide on taking singing lessons but on teaching a lesson to Katy - she challenged her to a singing contest live onstage.
While an ensuing argument between the pop singers got overheated Katy and Mariah also challenged each other to a fight in a ring to settle for once and all which of the ladies would ultimately dominate the other.
Katy claimed that Mariah's breast implants make her an 'attention seeking, insecure girl with personal issues' while she herself has 'got all the right assets in the right places naturally anyway'.
Mariah laughed and threw into Katy's face the facts that she has 5 Grammys while Katy has none, and had accumulated a net worth of $520 which makes Katy's of a mere $200 nearly trivial - 'So, little girl, who's got the assets in all the places then, huh?' she mocked Katy who, at this humiliating moment of the quarrel, came close to tears.

At that point, Mariah lost her temper and slapped Katy's face to make her younger rival stagger backwards, but Katy quickly gained her balance, rushed at Mariah and returned the slap in her face. Mariah's head was jerked to one side, then, while holding her palm up to her burning cheek, she turned to face Katy and hissed at her: 'Bitch, I'll see you on the stage and in the ring...You'll fucking regret this!'
'Don't be so sure, you whore,' Katy replied with venom in her voice, 'I'll show you what I'm made of, you deluded has-been!'
