I'd like to change my user name - what is the best way to do that?  I know I can change how the name is displayed in my profile, but I want to actually change the user name itself.  Is there a way to do that without deleting the acct and the acct history data?  Or do I need to just delete the acct and create a new acct and start from scratch.  Thanks.

If you want a new username you will have to create a brand new profile

Thanks BD - that's what I thought.  To create a new profile, I do that by registering again, correct?  Then if I want to remove the old username I just go into that profile and choose "delete this account", right?

Yes you register a new account and then if you want to delete this profile you click on delete. It usually takes awhile for the profile to be deleted.

Also once you hit delete you get locked out of your account as I recall. So you may want to have the new one going first if you still wish to do stuff on the site that requires an account (like look at profiles ).

Thanks BD and Nutmeg.  That's my plan then - I'll register with the new acct, use that for a while, then delete the old profile.  The current user name is just not one that I prefer using anymore.
