I really can't understand this matchup. Holly only has had 2 UFC fights and she has looked mediocre at best but they ranked her #8 after 2 fights and one a split decision? Nonsense.. Her standup is good but I believe they are rushing this for more Rousey legend building. Holly could be competitive in another year after she learns a ground game but to go in there against an Olympic judo champ without a black belt in jui-jitsu or judo more less no ground experience???? She is done before she begins. Rousey has excellent takedowns and has submitted jui-jitsu masters, Holly by her own admission is still fairly lost on the ground. It should be a quick beating unless Rousey chooses to only box but frankly she can take Holms down at will. The UFC needs to consider opening up a couple more weight classes for woman and maybe moving Rousey up for some real competition. Hell Rousey fought at 155 in the Olympics.

I agree. I think Amanda Nunes would have been a much better opponent for RR...especially after Sara McMann fight I was really impressed with her. I personally think no matter how much time they give to HH, she can never come up to a level where she can be any danger to RR in grappling. I find it hard to believe that she was an undefeated pro boxer in a few weight divisions, she does not have a ko power behind her punches. I have a feeling RR will try to KO HH just to prove a point that she can outbox an undefeated boxing champ. IMHO, RR is already a better boxer than HH...she has proven she packs a KO punch.

Holly wasn't undefeated as a boxer. She was brutally KO'd by Anne Sophie Mathis. Check it out here:

Freely admit I gotten off and even squirted to Sophie knocking the fuck out of Holly.

And the thought of Holly and Ronda staring each other down makes my pussy ache. ;)

Holly has a weird footwork thing where she'll only punch after getting herself standing in a certain position.  In the fight against Sophie, she got battered everytime she assumed that position.

Holly is left-handed and fights from a southpaw stance - right hand and right foot forward - which is the opposite way round to an orthodox boxer like Sophie.

In a fight between a leftie and an orthodox boxer, each will be trying to get their lead foot outside the lead foot of the opponent, to bring him/her into line for power punches with the back hand - right hand for the orthodox fighter, left hand for the southpaw.

While this is going on, it's always the southpaw who looks awkward and out of position, simply because we are not used to seeing boxers fighting from that stance.

Sophie won that tactical battle, which is why she couldn't miss Holly with those big right crosses and uppercuts she was throwing

Holly came back and avenged this loss by boxing smarter here~https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHgXN2P2vZU

Holly's real problem will be the fact she isn't a real knockout puncher and she now has to avoid takedowns which Ronda won't have to worry about. 4 ounce gloves will also make a huge difference as Ronda evidently does have knockout power. It's not gonna be pretty.

Holly has great punch and kick power, she can KO anyone if connects... She will need to catch Ronda coming in for takedown to Win. If goes to the ground, the fight will be over fast with a Ronda armbar.

Chael Sonnen: Holly Holm not telling the truth about her ridiculous, invalid boxing championships

I watched both of her UFC fights (the last one live). I totally agree with Chael Sonnen.
