there are five things to think about
one, reaction -- you acknowledge and react to what the other person did, even if you feel like what they did isn't going to help them, you at least acknowledge it and say something like, pulling on my arm isn't going to get you out of this headlock, bitch... or something like that
that's kind of hot actually
but you acknowledge and react to what your opponent does... you don't ignore it
two, the physical -- this is where you make your move or hold clear to your opponent... involving positioning what body parts you are moving to make the hold work
three, the sensual -- this is where the post starts to come alive... this is where you use your senses to describe what you're seeing and feeling... sight and touch work the most here... hearing too... although probably not so much with smells and tastes however Wink you can see and feel muscles flexing Smiley see the sweat pouring down... see the reddening or purple faces and the open mouths desparately trying to find air... hear and feel hearts pounding in your chest... whatever... lots of possibilities here Smiley
four, the emotional -- this is where you show your emotions... duh Wink showing what you're thinking and feeling... pain... fear... utter panic... or if you're on the other side... smug... cocky... confident... strong and sexy... turned on too Smiley this is where you let out your emotions...
i for one... think this is the most important one... in my opinion at least
and last, the progressive -- this is applies especially to holds but it works also for just about any move... your hold shouldn't be statically applied... what i mean by that is each turn it should build in intensity
for example you can take any hold... turn 1 is getting it on and getting everything situated...
turn 2 is once its locked on fully... the pressure starts
turn 3 the pressure continues getting stronger and stronger
turn 4 your opponent, if he or she hasn't escaped by now, is probably close to submission because the pressure is so great and he or she has been weakened so much
by turn 5 you've ratcheted up the pressure so much that you're basically torturing your opponent and demanding his or her submission
something like that
now i understand the concept of "rest holds" and wanting to use a hold to tease or just show your control over your opponent... and there's nothing wrong with that... but it can get old after ten turns or whatever Wink anything can... even if your creative and expressive cyber powers are unsurpassed Smiley
everything needs to build... to accrue... a great cyber match is basically a little story that builds until a climax... and i mean that term in more ways than one Wink
and probably not every post needs to have all these things in them... but the important ones should have as many as possible Smiley
anyhow, that's my two or three cents on the subject... you can always let me know what you think... and feel free to post constructive comments too Smiley
see ya! Smiley
