Fight preview: Neither Goldie nor Lindsay have faired too well so far. Goldie drew with Barbara Bach but then lost to Elvira, Jaclyn Smith and Edy Williams. A glimmer of hope arose in her last fight in which she fought toe to toe with Edy and only lost by a small margin. The bionic woman hasn’t been so bionic, losing all of her fights to Ann-Margret, Luciana Paluzzi, Diane McBain, and Joey Heatherton. Loots like Lindsay is getting back into Bionic Woman shape and is getting serious about winning some fights.. Goldie looks like she is trying to distract Lindsay and get her laughing. I predict Goldie will then jump Lindsay with a two handed hairpull. Will Goldie prevail or will Lindsay fight her way back in and show us the stuff she is made of? Lindsay says she will do what Goldie asks and “Sock it too her.” Goldie says she will be the one doing the socking.

Fight preview: Nancy is looking for her first win while Victoria has is two and two in her fights. She beat Adrienne Barbeau and then clobbered Stefanie Powers in a fight of two gorgeous redheads. But she lost her last to fights to toughies. She gave a good battle to Pam Grier but was demolished by Martine Beswick. Nancy is the smallest and lightest of the contestants. She has tried to use her martial arts knowledge but has just been overpowered by her opponents: Elke Sommer, Raquel Welch, Annette Funicello (who face sat her), and Jill St. John. Nancy is happy to have a lighter opponent for a change. Look for Nancy to try and deliver kicks and chops and throws on Victoria. Look for Victoria to try and take Nancy down by the hair and pin her there so she can work her over. I think Nancy fights better on her feet and Victoria is the better one if rolling on the ground.

Fight preview: Senta has a very narrow win and a tie against powerhouses Martine Beswick and Pam Grier. She had an easy win over Stefanie Powers who was just too small for her. But she barely beat Adrienne Barbeau in her last fight so maybe she is showing the effects of the tough fights she has had. Tuesday lost to Jill St. John and got trashed by Raquel Welch and Elke Sommer. It must be said that Raquel and Elke figure to be in the hunt for the title in the opinion of several. . She had a strong win over someone her size in Annette Funicello. Tuesday is one of the smallest contestants but she can be very feisty and nasty. Senta will try and use her size to dominate and control Tuesday. Senta may be tiring so Tuesday plans to hit and run until she wears Senta down. Senta will kept after Tuesday who she thinks is hurting after the battering she took from Raquel and Elke.

Fight preview: If anyone expects Pam to take it easy on the America’s sweetheart Mousketeer and beach babe, Annette, they had better think again. Pam is royally pissed that her arch rival Sybil, ‘stole a fight from her.’ and that Senta fought her to a draw. She went after Victoria with a vengeance. But then gout upset (in her opinion) by Linda Evans. So she is in a murderous state. Expect her to go all out to destroy Annette. Pam could well be the meanest and nastiest fighter in the contest. Annette is usually sweet but we have seen she can fight her heart out when attacked. She has two wins over Brit Ekland and Nancy Kwan, who admittedly are on the light side. Then she had a heart breaking loss to Sharon Tate who she figured to beat. But she does know how to win. She will have to be as vicious as Pam if she wants to take this one.

Sybil Danning	Britt Ekland

Fight preview: Sybil takes pride in being just as mean and nasty as Pam or even more so. She has been unstoppable so for with three victories, including narrow wins over the tough Pam Grier and Martine Beswick. Then Sybil showed what she can do to weaker foes when she crushed Stefanie Powers and just humiliated her. She brags she will not lose a fight in this tournament and intends to destroy Britt.  Britt has yet to win a fight. She barely lost to Annette Funicello but then has been trounced by Jill St. John, Elke Sommer, and Raquel Welch. Britt thinks Sybil is overconfident and overrated. She says she has watched Sybil and knows her tendencies and weaknesses. Britt comes out in a similar white bikini to show everyone she has a sexier body than Sybil. A big underdog but I predict Britt will belie her innocent look and deliver an unexpected kick to Sybil’s crotch to put the fight on an even keel. If she can continue her attack she can beat Sybil. Otherwise Sybil will chew her up and spit her out.

Joey Heatherton	Edy Williams

Fight preview: An interesting pairing to me. For all her swagger and bravado, Edy has had all close fights: barely beating Farrah Fawcett and barely losing to Suzanne Somers and Loni Anderson. Edy did get back on track by beating Goldie Hawn but it wasn’t such a convincing win. Joey has an even bigger swagger for a ‘little one’. She is cocky if nothing else and often backs it up. She has lost to bigger women in Cathy Lee Crosby, then demolished Sherry Jackson, before Dian Parkinson took a little bit of wind from her sails. But Joey rebounded by beating Lindsay Wagner.. She faces another big woman in Edy. Expect the slower and probably softer Edy to try and use her size to dominate Joey and crush her. Expect Joey to be a little dynamo and to use her dancer’s legs to bewilder Edy.

Raquel Welch	Stefanie Powers

Fight preview: Both Raquel and Stefanie have been in lots of fight in movies and on TV. But this is not the movies, this is the tournament. Raquel has the best record so far, winning by the most points. Admittedly she may not have had the toughest opponents but she rolled over Sharon Tate, Nancy Kwan, Tuesday Weld, and Britt Ekland. All are smaller and lighter than her but Raquel does well against women bigger than her. Stefanie has lost to Linda Evans, a rival from high school and a highly ranked fighter, and to Senta Berger who was probably just too big for her. She lost ti Victoria Principal and should have given her a much better fight in this reporter’s opinion. She was raked over the cools by the real bitch, Sybil Danning. She matches up well with Raquel, being the same weight and a little taller. Both women know how to scratch and claw, slap and hit, kick, and even bite. So I expect and all out catfight of two proud women.

Diane McBain	Jaclyn Smith

Fight preview: Diane is known to have a mean and nasty streak. Jaclyn had the reputation of being the nicest and perhaps softest of the Charlie’s Angles. Is Jaclyn too sweet for Diane or well she get her dander up and be the aggressor, making use of training for Charlie’s Angels? We know Diane will be vicious. Diane showed her meanest and fighting abilities in beating Sherry Jackson, Cathy Lee Crosby, and Lindsay Wagner. But Dian Parkinson put a chick in her armor when she beat Diane. Jaclyn lost to her co-start, Farrah Fawcett and then Suzanne Somers. But she showed she can beat up on a lighter woman in taking Goldie Hawn. Loni Anderson proved she hasn’t figured out now to handle tough opponents. The two fight in gowns with a nice leg split so look for them to go after the gowns first and rip them apart. I see a pretty even catfight as they roll around on the floor: tearing clothes, ripping out hair, and clawing each other.

Agree with the voters that the closest fight is between Joey Heatherton and edy Williams. Edy has the size to bounce poor Joey around. Joey is one tough bitch when she gets her dander up and would be a whirlwind of action. Like Joey tiring Edy out if Edy doesn't smother her first.

My favourite fight is Raquel Welch vs Stefanie Powers. Any fight with Raquel Welch is one of my favourties. Love to see Stefanie fighting but she isn't in the same fighting league as Raquel.

I voted for Goldie, Nancy, Senta, Pam, Sybil, Joey, Raquel, and Diane.

The Diane McBain pic was unbelievably hot.  What a curvy goddess!

Goldie is smaller than Lindsay, but Lindsay looks soft and I've seen fit small women whip bigger opponents.

Nancy Kwan also has a tight bod.  See her in "The World of Suzie Wong," where she has a good catfight with another Chinese actress, though I'd have preferred to see her matched against her blonde romantic rival, the gorgeous Sylvia Syms.  It's interesting that you earlier had a match between Nancy and Elke Sommer, which is one of my all-time favorite fanatsies.  They were in at least two movies together, "Hell to Macao," aka "The Corrupt Ones," and "The Wrecking Crew," both of which could have seen a catfight between them, but especially "Hell to Macao," where Nancy was an evil villainess who at one point had Elke captured by her henchmen and brought into her hideout.  Nancy, IIRC, had just arisen from a pool and Elke was in a robe and underwear.  A little misdirection scene, and  . . . the mind boggles!  But natch, the idiots in charge flubbed up that opportunity as well as the catfight that could have happened in the sewer chase.  I just want to thank you for putting that glorious blonde/asian matchup in your poll.  Alas, I missed the vote on that one, but I'd have voted for Nancy -- even though I think the fight is a toss-up -- because I figure most people would vote for the taller Elke, and I'd like to see a close struggle between these two all-time sex bombs.  A real hairpulling, nipple to nipple, thigh to thigh catfight apocalypse!

FWIW, I think the Senta vs. Tuesday match would be tougher than most think.  Senta was so fit in those days that she seems an easy victor in most of her fights, but Tuesday was no out of shape slob, either.  In real life, this redhead vs. blonde tussle would likely be a whirlwind of action.

I'd just like to thank you again, Glamour Fights, for your incredible work on these polls.  I'm too busy these days to comment as much as I'd like to, but IMO, this is the best series of celebrity polls I've ever seen in my long, long career as a catfight fan.  The matchups and the sometimes mindblowing pics of these magnificent back-in-the-day beauties keeps me coming back for more.  Two thumbs up!

You'll have to be patient. The Evans vs Welch clash will occur in round 28. Both were high in voting in the selection process so they are seeded high. Hopefully both will have good records so there will be extra intensity in the fight.

@CrashCorrigan. Thank you for your comments. Please comment when you can but don't be overly concerned if you can't. It is always interesting to see different perspectives and views often that I hadn't thought of. Looking at a lot of pictures and finding the right ones is exciting for me. It allows me to picture the two women fighting more easily. I find the process of putting the fights together and then thinking of prefight comments to be almost as exciting as the results of the voting. Glad you enjoy the polls and the fights.
