Lots of great pairings. My favourite fight by just a tad is HEIDI RANGE (Age: 26; 5'2") vs ROXANNE PALLETT (Age: 27; 5'1"). Many other great fights but I think these two small women would go at each other fast and furious with neither tiring for a long time. Great speed with lots of action. Brunette and blonde hair everywhere! Clothes strewn about the floor. Cant pick winner.

Lots of close matches in this round, i like Gemma beating Liz the best, all of the other matches seem to be almost as good though.

Good fights there, but neither Andrea Corr or Naomi Watts are from the UK!!!!! Andrea is from the Republic Of Ireland and Naomi Watts is Australian, I believe!!

Nevermind - doesn't take away from a good line up of scraps!

Yeah, I know Andrea Corr is Irish and Naomi Watts was born in UK before moving to Australia but I just couldn't leave them out   Dannii Minogue is Australian by right allthough seems to be based in UK nowadays for whatever reason.

Halfway through the opening poll and a lot of close affairs with Catherine Zeta-Jones vs Nancy Sorrell and Gemma Atkinson vs Elizabeth Hurley particulary tight. Dannii Minogue and Naomi Watts are also too close to call with Liz McClarnon edging away at the expense of Jenny Frost.

So, the first round is over. Geri Halliwell was always in control and smashed Victoria Beckham by whooping 25 votes while Emma Bunton followed suit and wrecked Rachel Stevens by a comfortable margin of 11.

Lots of close fights elsewhere though albeit Gemma Atkinson broke away from Elizabeth Hurley with Liz McClarnon able to keep Jenny Frost silent on her knees. Nancy Sorrell briefly held the upper hand over Catherine Zeta-Jones but eventually fell apart while Heidi Range prevailed in the classic blonde-brunette battle. In the closest duel Dannii Minogue upset Naomi Watts by only 2 votes.
