Fight Preview: Diana is usually heavier than her foes. She likes to toss her foe around by the hair then use her weight to pin her down. Her two favorite moves to win are  a facesit from either direction or some form of breast smother. Not so much the headlock variety but by lying on top of her victim and pressing her breasts into their face. Honor likes to use more wrestling and martial arts moves. She has gotten many a quick submission by an arm toss followed by a wrist lock or arm bar. Look for her to take great delight in flipping Diana high in the air so she lands hard on her fleshy ass. If Diana can get in close and go for the hair to take Honor down she will most likely win. If Honor can stay away and flip a charging  Diana she will reign supreme. A strategic battle of different styles. 
 Right Review: Diana is a big brazen blonde who doesn’t mind exploiting her sex appeal, in fact she loves it. Honor is a more refined classic blonde beauty but one who knows how to get down and dirty when she has to fight. Diana’s attempts to yank Honor down by the hair and then smother her with her breasts met with limited success. The one time she managed to really grind her tits in Honor’s face she came away with teeth marks in her right boob. Honor was able to toss the less athletic and softer Diana around, bouncing her on her ass many times. Diana would get up, charge and Honor would flip her on her ass again. The constant bouncing took it’s toll on Diana’s body until Honor tossed Diana down. Wrapped her leg around Diana’s in a standing leg lock and twisted her foot into submission.

Fight Preview: Marilyn Monroe has lost only one fight and that was to the Olympic start, Esther Williams. Perhaps one of the few times that Esther has lived up to her capabilities. Marilyn is certainly not the biggest or strongest contender so her wins are most likely attributed to her fighting spirit and ability. She doesn’t look like she could take much pain but this must not be true, although it may be with the help of medication. Jeanne has the worse record in the tournament. People attribute this to the fact that she is too sweet and doesn’t have the killer instinct needed to finish her opponent off. But she has proved she can battle with the toughest in having tied with Ava Gardner. Perhaps she caught Ava on a bad day. Jeanne has a lot to prove. So I look for her coming out with a new nasty attitude. She has put up photos of Marilyn and used them for dart practice and then ripped them to shreds to get in the right frame of mind. She sees her chance when she spies Marilyn sunning herself on the diving board. She says “Get out of the way, fat ass, some of us want to dive.” She then challenges Marilyn to a “Queen of the diving board contest. You will knock the other off the giving board then jump onto her back in the water and dunk her until she gives up?
 Right Review: A fight that involved the subtle yet sultry quiet beauty and sexuality of Jeanne Crain against the overly sexuality of Marilyn Monroe. Jeanne took exception to Marilyn ‘displaying’ herself of the diving board and hogging it. Had she asked Marilyn politely then Marilyn might have moved. But contrary to her sweet appearance Jeanne was quite nasty in telling Marilyn to get her fat ass out of the way. Marilyn responded by getting up and knocking Jeanne’s head to the side with a hard backhanded slap. The fight was on as the two used hair and slaps to try and knock the other off the board. Each attempted to trip the other to send her flying over the side. Knees were delivered to thighs and crotches. Heads were yanked down and knees deliver to the chest and face in an attempt to put the other on her ass.  It wasn’t long before Marilyn surprised most spectators by dominating Jeanne. She was just the better hairpuller, slapper, kneer, and kicker. And don’t’ forget the elbows. Marilyn’s fleshier body absorbed the hard elbows and knees better than Jeanne’s lean body. This is maybe what made the difference as the pain from Marilyn’s strikes got to Jeanne. Marilyn toyed with Jeanne for awhile. Then threw her of the diving board, jumped on top of her and held her under. A hand up out of the water waving weakly signified Jeanne’s surrender.

Fight Preview: I think these are two of the most beautiful, sexiest redheads around and would rank them just below Jill St. John and An-Margret. But that is must my opinion. I also think these are two elegant women. I see a lady type catfight where each is willing to resort to unladylike tactics to prove who is the better woman. When one woman gets her foe off her feet look for her to drag the other around by the hair. When they are on their feet look for them to get a handful of hair and both hands and try to shake their foe back and forth. Knees to the legs and hopefully in between the legs will be thrown as they are locked up in the hairpulling contest.
 Right Review: A hard fight between two classy and classic redheaded beauties. Tina and Rhonda locked up hands buried deep in red hair to try and dominate their foe and get her off her feet. Tina used her slight height advantage and 10 lb weight advantage to get the early lead. She whipped Rhonda down on the ground and started dragging her all over the place. Sometimes on Rhonda’s back and sometimes on her stomach and chest as Rhonda tried to roll over and roll to get at Tina. It looked like Rhonda was completely out of the match. But then she got ahold of Tina’s foot and tripped her over backward. Rhonda reached out and took ahold of Tina’s much longer red hair. Then got to her feet and dragged Tina around by the hair. Tina upset Rhonda in a similar fashion of what Rhonda had done to her. Once both were on the ground they locked up body to body, legs entwined with legs, hands buried in hair as the rolled back and forth. Rhonda had come from virtual defeat to almost win the fight. But then she couldn’t quite do it and then the older woman began to tire. As time went on Tina was spending more time on top of Rhonda than vice versa. Eventually an exhausted Tina was able to lie on top of an exhausted Rhonda and claim the narrowest of victories.

Fight Preview: It has been said that Jane can lick her weight in wildcats. Well, Gina is most definitely a wildcat, albeit it an Italian one. Gina will go after Jane to rip her apart just like a wildcat would. Jane will return kicks and punches to drive the wildcat off. Jane will have to do more than lick her weight in wildcats since Gina outweighs her. As she is an Italian wildcat. Are they worst than normal wildcats? Gina will have to be able to trap and catch the super quick Jane to sink her claws into her. Which one will prevail?
 Right Review: Gina came out like the wild, vicious hellcat she is. She overwhelmed Jane with her relentless very nasty attack. Jane was on the defensive parrying off attack after attack. Jane’s reach advantage was nullified by Gina continually moving in close and using her claws most effectively. When both women went down Gina was able to use her weight advantage and determination to keep Jane on her back for long periods of time. Eventually Jane was able to use her greater strength to fight back. She used her legs to trap Gina and put her in trouble several times. She used armlocks to twist and torture Gina’s arms. Gina used every dirty trick she could think of and came close to regaining the advantage and forcing Jane to sob her submission. Then Jane got Gina’s head between her thighs with her face pressed close to her pussy, made nude by Gina’s ripping off of Jane’s clothes. The pain and lack of air forced Gina to submit although she did try to give one last bite to Jane’s cxnt. If she had succeeded than she probably would have won but she didn’t quite do it. 

 

Bettie Page	Sophia Loren

Fight Preview: This is my second most favorite fight of all 16 fights this round. Who can’t love a fight between tough, vicious, skilled, strong fighters that know every trick in the book? Strength against strength, skill against skill, guile against guile, viciousness against viciousness. Bettie tries to get an edge by bringing out her whip and using it on Sophia. She gets in a couple of good cracks as can be seen with Sophia holding where Bettie nailed her. Sophia can be mean under normal circumstances. But Bettie may have driven her over the edge. I see Sophia grabbing the whip and she and Bettie fighting for it. My prediction is that this will be the nastiest, dirtiest, fight this round. The winner will show no mercy and totally humiliate the loser.
 Right Review: Sophia figures she would dominate Bettie. She agreed with may that Bettie’s reputation as a catfighter far exceeded her abilities. Maybe Bettie was concerned Sophia would dominate her also. She came out with a whip and flicked a couple of lashes to Sophia’ stomach and famous chest. Sophia covered up her wounds at first as Bettie laid into her with some hard punches. Sophia recovered and rocked Bettie with several punches. She took the whip away and then tossed it. We don’t know why she didn’t use it to leave cuts in Bettie’s body like Bettie did to her. Maybe it is because Sophia lives to feel the punishment she dishes out through her hands. A real hard catfight took place, maybe the hardest and most vicious to this point. But Bettie always seemed to have a slight advantage perhaps caused by the cuts she had inflicted on Sophia early on. When the two rolled close to the abandoned whip it was Bettie who got ahold of it. She wrapped it around Sophia’s throat and tightened it until Sophia had to wave her surrender to keep from being choked unconscious or even to death.

Rita Hayworth	Anita Ekberg
38 years old	25 years old

Fight Preview: Rita Hayworth has finally tasted victory, beating Barbara Eden last round. Big, powerful Anita has yet to taste defeat although she did draw with Bettie Page. Rita promises she is going to spoon feed Anita a big dollop of defeat. Anita just puts her hands on her hips, gets right into Rita’s face and says “Go ahead and try.” Rita heard Kim Novak say that she Rita is one of the sweetest people she knows but doesn’t stick up for herself and lets people push her around. That was meant as a compliment but it stuck in Rita’s claw. She has vowed to come out with a vengeance and get down as mean and dirty as she can. She thinks Anita will underestimate her and she won’t know how to react to this new found wild woman. Anita says she is not worried. She will just break the weaklings arms and legs.
Right Review: Much as she was resolved to show the world that she is not too sweet and does not let people push her around Rita turned out to be no match for big, strong Anita. Anita stood hands on hips challenging Rita to back up her words. Rita took the bait. Anita was ready. She grabbed the ended arms of Rita and easily twisted them behind her back. It was all downhill from there for Rita. True to her word Anita concentrated on torturing and inflicting pain on Rita’s arms and legs. The fight was stopped and Anita declared the winner when it looked like she might cripple Rita.


 

Jane Russell	Kim Novak
35 years old	23 years old

Fight Preview: I must confess this is my favorite fight of the 16. O see this as two strong women who are great fighters going at each other toe to toe. Neither backing down and both giving as much as they get.. This will be as close to a man style fight as it can get. A slugfest to the very end won by the woman who can dish out the most punishment while absorbing the most. Jane is certainly known to be tough. She also has a reputation for being mean. She has been in some abusive relationships and shown that she can take punishment. Kim looks like a sweetheart with a smile that warms the cockles of anyone’s heart. She looks like a pushover and was cast in a movie by that title.  She just looks too sweet to make a good catfighter. Her coworkers have said she is very sweet and nice so she  seems genuinely nice as opposed to some who is really the opposite of how they act. But she has proven to be one of the toughest and best fighters around. Why is that? Well first off she is naturally strong and even stronger from horseback riding and other athletic endeavors such as skiing. Secondly, she is opinioned and strong willed. She hats to be pushed around and told what to do, either verbally or physically. So she fights back with all she has. Finally, her sister, Arlene, is three years older than her. They often wrestled or even fought when Kim was very young. Naturally Kim lost all these battles but she learned how to fight a bigger person and to also take punishment, even humiliation, and still right back. So I see a battle between two proud women, each who think they are tough physically and mentally and want to press their will on the other. Oh one last, thing. There is a little history of the two. Kim’s first appearance in a movie was in The French Line. She was just a uncredited bit player  while Jane was one of the stars. Still it stuck in Jane’s mind how everyone looked at Kim when she entered the room. “Another fucking blonde bimbo who will try to unseat me as sex queen. She looks too stupid and can’t act. She’s no Marilyn Monroe but I will take care of her if she ever starts to get famous.” Well Kim had become the box office star that year so know Jane was even more motivated to show her who was the biggest, badest, toughest woman around. Hold onto your hats for this fight.
 Right Review: If you like an all out brawl more man style fight between two tough, powerful and proud women then you should have liked this fight. As noted no one doubts Jane’s toughness and her ability to dish out as well as take punishment. Kim looks sweet but anyone who knows her knows what a strong willed woman she is who doesn’t let anyone push her around. She is large boded with more muscles than one might think from all her outdoor activities. If you don’t believe me look at her forearms which whose size corroborate what I have said. So this fight was expected to be a slugfest with the two women often going toe to toe. The fight started out with Jane and Kim both dishing out and receiving punishment. As time went on Kim started landing harder and more blows than Jane did. She wore Jane down and took over the fight. For those who are surprised at this I point to an earlier boxing match they had. Esther Williams	Barbara Eden

Fight Preview: Barbara must be working some of her genie magic on her opponents. She is diminutive but has won all her fights except one. But that was against Rita Hayworth in her last fight so maybe her opponents have watched her and figured out how she has won so far. Esther Williams can’t figure out what is going on. On paper she should be one of those favored to win this tournament. She is one of the bigger women. She is certain strong, maybe the strongest. And she is a true athlete having won Olympic competition in swimming. Perhaps part of it is that she is not at the same physical prowess she was when swimming. She has been leading the good life and enjoying herself and her acting career.  Part of it may be the old adage that it is the “size of the fight in the dog, not the size of the dog in the fight” that is important. There has to be some fundamental weakness in the way she has been fighting. Being a former athlete she has taken to viewing footage of her fights to see what went wrong and what she did right. She has learned from watching what her foes have done. The question is can she execute what she has learned during a fight. If so she will be formidable and could run the table on her remaining fights. If she can’t then she could continued to lose to ‘inferior’ foes. I think the winner of this fight has more to do with Esther’s abilities or ineptness in catfighting than anything Barbara can do. If Esther can combine catfighting prowess with her strength and athletic ability she will dominate Barbara. If not, then Barbara certainly knows how to out catfight better, more inept women.
Right Review: This figured to be an easy victory for the strong, athletic Esther against the rather tiny Barbara. In fact the fight started out rather humorously with Esther chasing Barbara all over the place. There is just something about the small, sweet genie that belies her lack of size and strength. She somehow seems to be able to outsmart or out maneuver opponents that should cream her. Is she really capable of magic? It would seem so as Esther just couldn’t corner her and beat her up much to her dismay and frustration. Eventually Esther’s 35 years caught up to her and she began to tire with the perky Barbara remained almost as fresh as a daisy. At the very end Esther was leaning over holding her sides. Barbara gave her a drop kick and bowled her over onto her back. Barbara jumped on her to hold her down. But she was not strong enough nor heavy enough to keep Esther on her back. Esther used her last bit of energy to roll them over and cover Barbara. And even though exhausted Esther was able to hold Barbara down and not let her up. Barbara finally had to admit defeat and was heart broken to have almost beaten the bigger, stronger Esther and just failed. Esther says she hopes the next woman she faces with be big and strong and try to out muscle her and not these little shits who refuse to fight and run away from her.

I voted for Diana, Marilyn, Rhonda, Jane, Sophia, Anita, Kim and Esther.

Esther might be almost 40, but she's been criminally underrated in this tournament.  I saw her in a movie from 1958, called "Raw Wind in Eden," when she was 37 and still so fit she was tight as a drum.  Also in the movie was young (24) Italian megababe Rosanna Podesta as her romantic rival.  Yes, this is another great missed catfight opportunity.  I'd have favored the taller, more muscular Esther in that one, just as I favor her above Barbara in this poll, though that would be an incredible fight to watch.

Toughest vote was Marilyn over Jeanne.  Despite the stats, Marilyn is obviously heavier than willowy Jeanne, but I'm guessing Jeanne is more fit.  Power vs. stamina here.

The matchups here are really superb, and I'd dearly love to watch Tina vs. Rhonda, Jane vs. Gina, Bettie vs. Sophia, Anita vs. Rita, Kim vs. Jane and Esther vs. Barbara.  These are all very sexy and competitive matches.  If only we had a time machine and a reliable method of mind control . . .

CrashCorrigan, I agree with you on the time travel. Also I think that this group of matches contains the best overall most competitive fights as you have listed.

As far as the stats, especially Marilyn's, I tried to use estimates closest to what i thought they weighted in the mid 50s. Marilyn's weight fluctuated quite a bit throughout her career as well as for some others. The pictures are not always from the 50s as I err more towards choosing similar pictures as opposed to chronologically correct ones. By the way, Marilyn was listed at 5'5½" 118 pounds in the coroner's report. Very few weights are actually posted and even if they were it would depend on when they were measured. With a few exceptions, most of the weights are my guesses based on an estimate of their visual BMI (Body Mass Index). I am sure some are off by quite a few pounds. BMI is a ratio of height squared to weight but is not necessarily a good measure of body fat. The heavier someone is for their height, the higher the BMI. If a person is very muscular they will have a higher BMI even if they are lean and fit as muscle is denser than fat.

I always fantasize about time macing fights where the women face each other when they are in their prime or sexiest (some women got sexier when they got a little older). The measurements of bust, waist, and hips are from sources,usually Celebrity Sleuth. Often measurements are given for various periods of time which is good. And sometimes the measurements are listed as from the dressmaker which I figure are the most reliable. The weights are the biggest problem. I agree i liked Marilyn most and thought she was sexiest when she was chubby. Sophia Loren's weight varied from 129 to 145 lbs. I put her at 135 because she was heaviest earl on as the Italians like their women zoftig. Later on Hollywood got her down to 129 lbs for Houseboat. So I figured 135 was a nice fighting weight. KIm Novak's weight was listed from 115 lbs to 129lbs but 122 lbs was the usually quoted figure. She probably weighed 130 opr more when she first came to Hollywood and was order to lose 10 or 15 lbs. That is when she probably was 115 for she was quite slender in early movies. But when she filmed movies such as Kiss me Stupid. Moll Flanders , and Of Human Bondage she was chubby to me. I would guess over 130 lbs. But those were filmed in 1964 or 1965 and I think she was no longer under the control of the studio. And Liz Taylor's weight went up and up and down but mainly as she started aging.

There were some women who looked much lighter than the weights I did find. But you can't go my looks alone for the estimation of weight.

Anyway, maybe sometime we should have a tme travel tournament where we plop the women at their best and have them fight. Even think of a Jane or Ava in theri early twenties in these fights.
