I'm a fan the Maitlis, but this is a tag team down-to-earth kind of a gig I completely agree that the idea of Emily in a physical confrontation is, eh, distracting...

I was thinking about Emily in a role as a referee, am sure she could be impartial.


I also have an interesting idea about her and Carol going to Susanna's for their weekly jacuzzi session, but they surprise and jump her for leaving the BBC for ITV.

I'm thinking about Emily and Fiona Bruce clashing about who is the Queen of the London newsroom.

Also, Jane Hill would be a great referee. The striped ref's jersey would accentuate her killer curves.

 I think the best individual fight would be between now team mates Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway.  The strongest of the six ladies is Steph McGovern but matches can sometimes throw up surprise results.  Would like to see Fiona Phillips return as a guest for ITV to fight Louise Minchin for the BBC.
