Having been a fem-fight fan for some time, and having watched a lot of videos (ranging from totally real to fantasy productions to erotic), I’ve seen a few good ones and lots of not-so-good ones. Lots of new companies pop up with new ideas and such, but there always seems to be some simple thing that makes the concept go wrong. Based on the videos I’ve seen and the things I like and don’t like, I’ve come up with six rules that pretty much cover my thoughts on the good and the bad.
I have tried to make these rules fairly universal, i.e. I think these are things that are likely to annoy most fans of any different focus of F/F fighting. For example, I generally prefer fights that go more toward “violent” rather than “sexual” (though there are exceptions), but I understand that some people differ and that’s fine. I’d like to think even those who have different tastes will agree with what I am about to lay out.
Of course, if people want to add their own rules, or object to some of mine, then by all means do so. I’m not pretending to know everything here. I just want to make a contribution, and it might make a decent thread topic for the board.
*** Six Simple Rules For Femfighting Videos ***
Universal Rules For All Videos:
1) There should be a clear winner and loser. There is never any excuse for a produced (i.e. not real) video not to have a conclusive ending. It is occasionally understandable for real fights to lack such a conclusion, but the more often the winner is clear, the better.
2) Rule for fighters: If you are fighting while wearing a skirt, you must accept the fact that your panties will be exposed. If your top priority is keeping your skirt down, you will either get your ass kicked (in a real fight), or make the fight look really lame (in a produced video).
For Produced (i.e. not real) Videos:
3) Giggling wrecks pretty much any fight. A fighter may smile or laugh if she is easily winning the fight, but if the loser appears to be having fun, the “suspension of disbelief” is ruined.
4) Losers should scream, cry and whimper as much as their lungs will allow. Also, it is better if the loser looks pathetic/helpless (such as Brooke from RingDivas) as opposed to defiant (like Tigra from Ladyfist).
5) If producing a domination match, there is no rule that says the dominator has to be a muscle-bound freak, a woman with breasts the size of volleyballs, masked, or ugly enough to frighten small children. Pretty girls can dominate, too. Most people who would buy a video with an ugly dominator will buy one with a pretty dominator, but not always vice-versa.
For Real Videos:
6) When attempting to make a “real” fight video, the fighters should have at least one of these three qualities:
-- Some kind of training
-- An inherent mean streak or enjoyment of fighting
-- A genuine dislike for each other
If the women don’t have any of these qualities, the fight will suck. Taking two models who are generally nice people and telling them to “fight” is going to be completely devoid of any intensity because they don’t really want to hurt each other and aren’t going to know how to put on a good fight without doing so. Note: It is possible to make a successful “wrestling” video under such circumstances, but not a "catfight" video.
