Not everything was peaceful and enjoyable for Beyoncé and Katy Perry when they met at the MET gala 2016.
Nobody knew what had gotten into Beyoncé when, passing by Katy who was chatting to friends in the foyer, remarked, 'Do you need some help with your wig?' A few girls in Beyoncé's wake giggled while Katy turned around, stared at Beyoncé for a brief moment and then said, 'My wig? What's wrong with my wig, Honey?'
Beyoncé, obviously in the mood for making fun of her, replied to Katy, 'You're right, your makeup needs a touch up first, doesn't it?'
Katy, by then feeling extremely ridiculed, put her hands on her her hips and forced her narrow shoulders into the broadest posture she could get them in. Still staring at the rival pop singer, she said, 'Would you mind? I'm talking to grown ups at this moment!'
'Oh, I'm sorry if I offended you, I just thought we should always lend a helping hand to lesser ones than us!' Beyoncé said, and her friends kept giggling.
'Are you fucking drunk, or just gone stupid??' Katy now exclaimed in unrestrained anger, and Beyoncé, getting angry herself then, announced proudly, turning around to her gang of giggling girls, that it was 'time she taught the talentless sugar pop girl a lesson'.
She then proceeded to ridicule Katy's dress at which Katy called Beyoncé's dress a 'cheap tasteless number fit for a street whore'.
Beyoncé's face went gloomy with seething anger, and she slapped Katy's face.
Katy, stunned and almost in shock for one second, hit her back in the next.
Beyoncé continued her ridicule, saying, 'You know, there is a reason they call me the queen of pop and you the princess, if even as much as that. You can't sing a straight note, never mind a modulated one.'
Katy, by now as good as ready to physically fight the offending woman, replied, 'I will compete with you anytime, you obnoxious little shit! And I bet I'll sing you flat onto the wall!'
Beyoncé laughed out loud, and, when recovering from her hilarity, announced for everybody to hear, 'Hey girls, listen to this, little Katy Perry is going to have a battle of voices with me, hahahaha!'
Katy then made the next move to stand up to Beyoncé. She calmly said, 'And I'll fight you actually. If you're not too much of a big mouthed coward I'll settle this with you wrestling you on a mat and make you eat your own stupidity.'
Beyoncé stared at her, then said, 'OMG, girl, are you determined to really dig your own grave tonight? With you and me on a wrestling mat, I'll rip your tits off and stuff them down your throat!'
Katy, unimpressed with Beyoncé's bragging, only threatened Beyoncé likewise, 'I'll sure reach through your throat down to your ovaries, pull them out, and stuff them back up your bum!'
Katy and Beyoncé, looking like two fierce Amazons, set up to sing against each other in a karaoke-like way in which each woman would try to best the other. But that was only to be the beginning of their contest before a wrestling mat was brought in for them.
Later, they both took off their high heeled shoes to face each other on the mat but kept on their dresses. Having stepped onto the mat, standing close in front of each other and menacingly drawing themselves up to their full heights, they again ridiculed each other for their dresses, and finally Katy grabbed Beyoncé's hair with both hands. Beyoncé got hold of Katy's wig, ripping it off her head and clawing her real hair.
For a while, the two women stood in front of each other with their legs slightly apart while each having her head pulled downwards by the other woman's hands in her hair and trying to unbalance each other, breathing heavily, grunting, and both emitting little squeals of pain and anger.
Katy's and Beyoncé's friends stood around them, some gazing at the two fighting furies open mouthed, others cheering her friend, with exclamations like 'Go, Bey, go! Rip her apart! Rip her bald! You'll stomp her into the ground! Go, go!' or, coming from the opposing camp, 'Katy! Katy! Go, Katy! Punch her face! Punch her face! Finish that whore!'
Finally, Katy and Beyoncé let go of each other's hair and began to slap each other while simultaneously each woman tried to get the upper hand by putting the other into a headlock...
