Greetings.
Right up front: I am a catfight fan, like I suspect most of you are. I am not affiliated with any company or any fighters.
I have a fairly large collection of stuff, but I'm always interested in finding more. The easiest way to do this is to tell you about what I like, then let you tell me about similar stuff that's out there. And if my reviews help you find stuff you like, then that's cool, too.
When I review videos, I am not attempting to pass judgment on any company, producer or fighter. These are just my own opinions. You are perfectly entitled to disagree, as we all have different tastes. I'm not here to debate on my own opinions; I'm just interested in what people think are videos similar to these.
Today’s episode is called “Ups And Downs Of Reality”.
---
While I’ve noted that I tend to like worked matches better than real matches, that doesn’t mean that a good real match won’t catch my attention. On the other hand, lots can go wrong with real matches as well. We’ll touch on the ups and downs of real matches in this batch of reviews.
#1: ECNWC-28: Spanish Cats II (Brianna vs Crystal)
ECNWC is (or was) definitely my favorite company in the “real” category. The fights were always very intense and action-packed. This match was no exception.
Brianna and Crystal had met in the original “Spanish Cats” video, which was a very even contest. This one was very one-sided. I’ve seen both, and everyone has their preference, but I like this one better. This one has lots of your typical catfighting action, with a few painful crotch claws thrown in. The loser is very frustrated by the end, and is just short of crying at times.
The intensity of this contest is a strong winner with me. They have a dislike for each other that is hard to fake, which is an upside of “real” matches. If you like a less one-sided match, check out the first one if you can find it.
Rating: 5 for 5, with the “crotch attacks” bonus point
Where to find it: While ecnwc.com still exists, neither of these videos appear to be on it. But you’ll find lots of similar stuff still available on DVD. (Sadly, they never did digital downloads.)
#2: East Coast Cats ECC-39 (Erin vs. Michelle)
This match is basically the opposite of the previous match in every way possible. It is real, but deathly dull. Neither wrestler seems to be trained in any way, and the whole match is basically “lock up-break-repeat”. Eventually, the producer figures out that neither of these women is going to do anything while standing up, so he has them go to their knees and wrestle from there, which ends up being only a slight improvement.
This is one of the downsides of “real” fighting: sometimes you just get a clunker of a match. This was one.
Rating: 1 of 5, though I’ll be nice and add the “white panties” bonus point for Michelle’s bikini

www.eastcoastcats.com#3: DWW EU-93 Match 1 (Jana N vs Luzia)
This was DWW at its peak. Jana and Luzia were both excellent fighters and very attractive as well. Both were wearing short dresses and white panties for this one. It is an outdoor match on grass.
Jana and Luzia don’t hate each other, but both are very skilled and very competitive, which makes for a very intense match. Lots of hard hair pulling here, and the scissors holds are also very intense. Only mild downside is that it gets a little repetitive, but that’s what happens with “real” from time to time. Still, well worth seeking out.
Rating: 4.5 of 5, plus the “white panties” bonus point

www.dww.at#4: Extreme Catfighting Vol. 1
While I usually focus on one match in a video, this one will focus on the full video, since the problem with it is largely universal. The concept here was to take a bunch of reasonably attractive but untrained women and have them fight MMA-style. It was one of those videos that sounded like it would be an awesome watch at the time (in my early days of catfight fandom), but it ended up as a total dud in my opinion.
The reason this video did nothing for me was that four of the five matches ended rather abruptly with someone getting hurt, which given the nature of it, shouldn’t be surprising. There was just never an opportunity to get into the matches because of it. One match — Danni vs. Ginger — did go the distance and was watchable, but not enough to save this video.
Rating: 1.5 of 5
Where to find it: Don’t know if you can still find it, though I’ve seen clips of it on YouTube. You might be able to find the Danni vs. Ginger match that way; it’s much better than the rest of the video.
#5: Catfight Haven: Candy vs. Dece (no catalog number)
This match is a lot like the third match in this review. Both fighters wear short dresses and white panties, and the match features a lot of very intense hair pulling. The difference in this match is that it doesn’t feature much other than very intense hair pulling. It’s over 20 minutes of two women pulling each other’s hair and wrestling each other by it. If you like that sort of thing, it’s a decent match, but I’d have a hard time blaming anyone for finding it repetitive.
Rating: 2.5 of 5, plus the “white panties” bonus point

In conclusion, a good “real” match can do a lot of things that even the best worked match cannot. On the other hand, you run the risk of a match being dull, repetitive or dangerous, which can leave you feeling ripped off. Suggestions for similar videos? Feel free to comment below.
