As you will all be aware, we experienced a significant server outage over the course of the weekend. We have had a major hardware failure and are working hard to retsore normality as quickly as possible.

Currently the site is up, but we are still testing it and it may go offline again at any stage.

We have been under a DDoS attack since late Saturday. We believe / suspect it is a disgruntled forum member.

We are working to minimize it so please bear with us all.

I do not know a lot about Ddos or viruses, but , if it is an attack, are our data safe? I mean, if someone makes a Ddos attack, is it just some kinds of stupid prank to make the website bugging for a few hours, or is it stealing our emails, IPs and stuffs ?
Do we know if it is just something against the administration of this website, or against people loving wrestling roleplays in general, and wanting to shame and expose people?

Cant say much about where it came from but yes, data is safe (as much as it it on any website, we keep the forum software upto date. etc), basically it's like you standing in a street and one person asking you for directions which you give them easily vs 10000 people around you in the street asking you for directions in which case you break...

The server gets overwhelmed with data requests, the intention is to bring the site down.

Thanks so much for your hard work in getting the site back up and running.  I sincerely it wasn't a disgruntled member, but I have to wonder....could this attack be linked to whomever tattles on our posts from YT??  Just a thought.....
