Does anyone know what some of the former CV fighters are doing now?

I seem to remember reading years ago that most of those girls were strippers.  I don't know if that was true or not.  But I'd be very curious to know what ever happened to some of them.

I'd be particularly interested in knowing what happened to Andi, Michelle, Mary, Shannon, and Leslie.  I always thought Andi was a beautiful girl, and I always thought it kind of strange she was a fighter for Crystal.  Michelle was also beautiful.  Many of the other girls were good looking, but those two were real stand outs to me.

Admittedly, it's somewhat of a turn on for me to think that some of these women may now be married, with kids, soccer moms, PTA meetings, etc.  I realize that's probably not the case, but It's kind of fun to think about it that way.

Anyone out there with the "inside track" on some of these girls??

I feel like years ago (early 2000s), I saw one of them on a news station during a story about science books having a sticker inside that the Big Bang theory was just a theory. It was on an early morning national news station, but was happening down south. Ironically, they had a story about fights being recorded and popular on YouTube earlier in the episode.

It had to be 2005 then since I saw it when I was in high school and I graduated in 2006. I don't really remember her name, I wasn't much of a crystal fan, I don't like fist fights. It also would have been CBS whatever was on at like 2 or 3am.

speaking of strippers check out strip clubs in or around Decatur Illinois as many of the girls and the house they fought in were in West Decatur Illinois.

That is fascinating!  Was she hosting the show, a guest, or what was her part in the show?

I know it probably sounds strange, but it thrills me thinking that these young women, who fought each other tooth and nail, are now leading perfectly normal lives.

I've heard about college girls working in strip clubs, or as escorts, to earn tuition money.  But I'm fascinated by women who voluntarily fight other women, with very few rules, to earn money.  These girls risk serious, permanent injuries.  I'm not frowning on it; in fact, I loved the Crystal fights because they weren't just fist fights, rather they were all out catfights, with nothing prohibited, except biting and going for the eyes.

If you remember any thing else about that show, please let us know.

I had bought a lot of the Crystal tapes. I liked Mary as a fighter.  Also some of the boxing was pretty good.  I remember one woman was Terah vs a sarah I think it was.. Terah was an older looking woman fighting to me a younger opponent.  she just cleaned up on the younger woman... it was interesting.
If anyone knows about these women let me know.

I could see perhaps a few of the women fighting for bail money, but certainly not all of them.

I know from some of the fights that featured prefight interviews, some of the girls had a real grudge to settle.

I wish someone would start another Crystal-like organization.  I haven't seen anything to compare to Crystal for real catfights.

She definitely wasn't hosting, haha. She was one of the more redneck fighters from crystal if it was her. She was being interviewed, it was a quick two sentence thing or so. The only reason I had kind of realized it might be her, was I had seen her in a match. I wanna say it was corri vs Shannon. One of the girls said during the preflight that she got punched by the other at a club and she wanted to settle it. She was winning, but the other girl came back and just wailed on her.

hmm...that might say a lot.......and maybe explain why they got shut down too eventually....in part. who made that comment?

If memory serves, the person who made the quote was the one and only Sketchartiste, whose acerbic wit and flaming rants eventually got him banned from several boards -- including this one.  Too bad.  Even when he went over the top, the entertainment value of his posts ranked very high.  He had a few observations regarding Mary, that were probably accurate, and rather biting.  Personally, I'd be amazed if Mary were still alive. 

In regard to what happened to the fighters, the only thing that I ever heard was that Michelle had gotten married, and her husband insisted that she drop the fight thing.  And again, if memory serves, it seems that this came from the official Crystal website.  But that's it.  As far as I know, there's no info regarding former Crystal fighters, and I'm a bit surprised that at least a couple of them don't pop up around here.  With all the admirers, one would think that some of them would want to bask in their past glory.  Maybe, they'd rather forget that they fought for money, or maybe they're concerned about the problems that admirers can present.  Who knows?

I too thought I had read something about Michelle getting married.

Way back in the day when Crystal was Crystal Films, I bought some of their fights.  I also purchased some of their magazines, Catspats, if I remember correctly.

Thanks to all for their input.  Maybe someday we'll all know more about some of these women.

Crystal-style fighting is most likely gone from being an official part of the web. It's like smoking on TV, the politics killed the guilty pleasures. This being said, some underground rings are probably well in place and even taped but that isn't going to be leaked anytime soon. I think here on CF I read about some drug sting deal that revealed private fights between women taking place? Some cops were in on too. Let's be real, pre-arranged women fighting remains a social taboo. The only thing that comes close is some hooligans brawls which include female members - YT has a number of them and somehow most of them are from Russia where they really lay it down. The entire CF concept comes from these women reall trying to hurt each other most of the time. Any company with competitive catfights/wrestling does forbid punching these days and I'm pretty sure most of the women involved would object to such a treatment.

As for that Illinois club, I recall one video comment on YT where a guy claimed to know one of the Crystal cameramen back in the day (who has since then passed away) and told that two women in that particular video were indeed strippers from the Chicago area. One of them was also a hooker. So, that is that.
